I don't have a sister, I don't care about siscon incest stuff and I'm not into loli's. I don't typically care for trainer type games and the sister's body type isn't my preference. I got this game because it was black and white and I thought the art style was interesting. I shouldn't like this game and yet I do. I like it so much that I find myself checking regularly for the dlc release. I think this is the best kagura game ever released and it stands at the top among other greats like karryn's prison. If any of the games flavors or themes were actually to my taste then I might even rank it above.
I didn't get into this one as much and prolly should rate it 4 stars but just can't bring myself to. This one prolly had the most explicit adult scenes(w/patch) of what GOG has on offer but I didn't connect with the characters as much (Citrus fans might, read 2nd paragraph). The adult art is almost exclusively between the 2 protagonists with a good number of scenes. Still takes several hours to get to them and the VN is of medium length (est 10~ hours). I included all this info on the adult stuff because that felt like more of a selling point for this VN in particular than the romance.. at least for me. If you don't want spoiled with short negligible descriptions of the protagonists personalities then skip this. Ok, if you have seen Citrus then those characters without the backbiting drama is sorta what youre getting here. One char that refuses to be honest with herself about her feelings past the point where it becomes tiresome and a cold arrogant ice queen that likes to talk in a way open to misunderstandings is she deigns to speak at all. Either of those sound familiar? I'm sure I'm bias since these characters didn't work for me but they felt glaringly 1 dimensional to me. This series is highly praised among yuri VN's though so what do I know? Also, I mean its not like it was bad.. just prolly one I'd of given 4 stars instead of 5 if GOG didn't have an infestation of trolls tanking VN review scores.

The most unique thing about this one is that its done in english voice. The voice work of the whole cast is great with the exception that the main char sounded a lil stilted for a bit of the first part of the VN but she gets better or you get used to it idk which. More concrete info.. This yuri(girl/girl) VN is kinetic meaning no choices; I estimate 4-7 hours play time. Has an adult patch with 2 added scenes. These scenes didn't break the mood or feel forced and I would suggest including them for slightly deeper characterization unless opposed or underage. The VN comes with a goofball mode with alternate dialog after you finish it once but I have no experience with it. The story is basically if a less sarcastic daria (mtv) went on a desert treasure hunt with a happy ditzy bubblegum teen that results in romance. The bubblegum teen might sound annoying but turned out to be adorable like a puppy and had great voice work. The supporting characters were mostly a delight and also had good voice work
First things first.. If youre going to buy this game, buy the full chorus DLC with it before you play it or you will only get about 1/3 of the game with voice work. Since you prolly can't understand a single word anyway you may think this isn't a problem but its because you've yet to hear Ano Fuji speak. I would find myself rolling the mouse wheel to back up to hear her speak over and over on some lines because it was just so adorable and funny sounding and truly regretted not having everything voiced in my first playthru because I was stingy over $5. Learn from my mistakes and pay the extra money. Ok, that out of the way.. IDK how long this one took to finish since I wasn't playing thru GOG Galaxy but it was a good few days I got out of it. Plot premise is kinda silly and could of been exactly the same thing with a slightly different spin and worked out just fine but w/e. The characters, their interactions and everything else is great just so long as you don't think too hard about the ghosts motive. The adult bits all the sweet sappy relationships culminate into are pretty tame but wow did those voice actresses really get into it. So many cute little grunts and squeals. If your still interested by this point just ask yourself.. do you like cute things? Sweet, sappy and sometimes humorous romance stuff? Cartoon lesbians? If so then this is the most complete product on GOG for such things.. but you should prolly go ahead and grab highway blossoms and heart of the woods too while your at it.
I don't review too many games but if GOG is going to let people tank review scores with idiocy then I might as well take the time to leave a review for what I do consider a 5 star game to try to balance it out. The story follows 2 friends whom are basically ghost hunters going to a tiny snow covered town looking for the supernatural. Slowly they find it with some rather unexpected twists culminating in a heart-warming paranormal romance. The romance is not the only thing the story has going for it as I also liked the plot of the fairy tale and discovered somewhere that I was no longer playing for the romance but to see how the story ended and how they overcome the antagonist. The plot isn't perfect and I could poke a few holes in it with some spoilers but its good. Like the other reviewers I strongly suggest you get the first choice youre given right because I did not and was annoyed at having gotten the not-so bad ending instead of the good ending on my first run and felt cheated. I still feel that the good ending choice is incorrect for the situation. It's prolly worth noting that theres only 2 adult scenes with the patch and both are very natural and organic. They don't feel out of place or misrepresentative like I worried they might and the story is good enough to stand on its own with or without them as is your preference. I got 12 hours but might of finished in 11 if I didn't have to go fix my choice for the good ending. I also let it play on auto on the TV and watched it like a movie so if you click through the text manually you'll prolly cut some time from that so I'd say 10~ hours. GOG, if youre reading this, way to go on adding VN's. I go out of my way to avoid steam for these so I don't have to admit to everyone I know that yes I am a full grown man that enjoys watching sweet sappy romances between cartoon lesbians with a big goofy grin on my face.
