Lots of people criticize the graphics in the comments section of articles I've read about this game. Well in my opinion its one of the strong parts of the game. After you accustom to it you feel like in some kind of artful comic theatre and it manages to draw you in. It is a mixture of hand drawn and real pictures. The controls are without the mouse but you get into it really fast. The puzzles are logical, I got seldom stuck. The story itself is deep and well written, also the voice acting is really good while each single character in the game has its own voice, this adds up to the experience. While the main story is dark and there are a lot of disturbing moments in the game. You get to know the main character(s) better in certain calm moments. This makes you care for them and their fate. Must buy if you like a good, dark story about a person struggling with her life and depression.
I have this game for almost a year now on steam. As some people write in their reviews, this game is an eternity in development state. Progress in development is extremely slow but the amount on text on their development news blog on the other side is huge. It seems their writers are better than their developers. I liked the game a lot and the game itself has a great concept but without npcs, quests and a lot of still unfixed bugs makes this game boring and tedious to play. You don´t see equipped bags and some weapons and items share the same sprites. The survival aspect of the game is good, and the finished and bug free version of the game sure deserves a much better rating. But until then its no more than 2 stars.
It hast everything a roguelike needs to have. And it its veeeery addicting. Download the demo from their page at te4.org and give it a go.... and if you like it BUY IT. I tried it for 3 hours :)
I read a lots about the game and struggled long wheter to buy it or not. After some time I wanted to know why it is often referred to as one of (most say it is) the best crpgs out there. When I did and started playing (with the recommended mods installed) I subsequently got sucked in by the really story and the unconventional setting. This felt like rpg at it's finest. Fighting resulted often to be the last thing to do, while convincing and talking to the people was the best and most rewarding path to take. I put every other game aside beacause you really want to know the story behind the the nameless one and his companions. I cant think of much or any games that had this intense setting and great characters and made me think about it after playing. I really recommend this to anyone interessted in great story. This game takes you to a unforgettable journey. Play and enjoy
