One could think, the gameplay is little unnecessary. That's story what makes this game briliant, and art (together with music), but this whole dice mechanic can be a little too much to some players. But it adds tempo to the game, which would overwhelming, if reduced to the story only. In effect one can't wait to roll some dice after some story, and the other way around, can't wait to get into the story after mechanics segment. Great design, after all.
Yeah, I know the title sounds like this is not good game, but actually it is. Maybe not some extremely skill-dependand as Eternal, but still needs what most skill-based shooter do: target prioritization, weapon selection, situational awareness and quick but thoughtful movement. And of course some secret and upgrades. What would anyone want more? Worth the money!
