has improved a lot over time, currently enjoying a fresh playthrough after a couple years
reminds me of the movie, the mechanics are easy to pick up and fun to tool around with
The ship is cool looking and is handy in a fight - doesn't have the endurance of the bigger boys but easy to scoot around and break capital turrets off - had a good time taking a I down. The new sectors are convenient for trade or expanding your space empire so no complaints there. The overall re-balancing that came with it in the update are pretty good - larger ships are safer to leave in the hands of the AI now that boosting doesn't burn their very slow to regen shield and the drones don't stick to the hull which is a huge plus to me. Ships seem more fun to fly and I actually use the third person cam now lol
after playing a few thousand hours i can safely say i got my monies worth. the free updates have improved the game a lot over time and the dlc's have all been enjoyable
