Engaging Story

An enaging story that explores ethical and philosophical issues with characters I genuinely cared about. It reminds me of the best manga and anime I've enoyed over the years that address real human issues.

Lust Theory - Season 2

Zzzzzz

I don't normally write reviews for a game before I finish playing in its entirety, but I honestly don't know if I'll even be able to finish this game. The game uses plot "twists" and delay tactics to the point that they become trite. Imagine watching a horror film with jump-scares every two minutes. Now, imagine a game with an interesting storyline and the potential for abundant sexual fantasy crafted to pure boredom, and you've imagined Lust Theory 2. Developers force players into choices rather than allowing their choses to drive the story - like a bad GM for an RPG. Graphics are good but certainly not exceptional. Body models for female characters are the stereotypical, cookie-cutter models used in so many mediocre AVNs. There are so many quality AVNs available - Love of Magic, Chasing Sunsets, Living with Sister, Leap of Faith, Artemis, etc. - making Lust Theory 2 feel a total waste of my time.

Living With Sister: Monochrome Fantasy

Great Game

There isn't anything about this game that I didn't like, and I highly recommend it. Graphics remind me of the many manga I have read over the years. Story is engaging and game mechanics are fun. I was pleased to discover that there are additional adventures built into the game after the main quest is over. Note: I played with the free adult patch added.

Lust Theory - Season 1

Not the Best, Not the Worst

Graphics are good but not exceptional. Voice acting is a plus for the game, and the actors do a good job. Plot is shaky. Game does a fair job for its chosen flavor; but the writers/developers overuse plot delays to the point of distraction, undermining what could otherwise be a solid plot. In the vernacular, it's kind of humorous that developers of an AVN serve as c**kblockers for their customers. A score of 3 is meh for me - not a total waste of money but something I would recommend only buying on sale.

Saimin Gakushū: Secret Desire

Apparently Female Anatomy Is Secret Too

Story: For the flavor presented, the story is fun and well-developed with a jarring exception (see below). Art: I like the art with one exception - pixelated genitalia. Show or don't at all. Pixelating is just stupid. Ignorance about female anatomy pulled me out of willing suspension of disbelieve and, honestly, caused me to roll my eyes. Examples: Not all virgins have intact hymen; also, there are medically documented cases of women who are not virgins still having intact hymens; first sex is not always painful for a virgin; cervical stimulation, especially as indicated in this story, can lead to painful cervical bruising and even tearing which can lead to serious medical issues. It is possible to write good AVNs using accurate sexual information. I have played several of them. Sadly, this game does not meet that simple standard.
