I loved HOI and played the series right up to HOI 4. HOI 4 gets real high reviews on Steam but the game has horrible interface, totally unrealistic composition of divisions and a general mess that deos not replicate any history. HOI 3 has realitic division contruction, organizational heireichy, politics and warfare. I did not have any problems running the game om W10. HOI 2 also has many mods including sprites and complete chnages to the game making it replayable as I am about to do for the 3rd time. Skip 4 play 3.
The game updated the graphics and added significant improvements compared to Mount & Blade. But that is where it ends. The caladaria story is old and totally uninteresting. All the hours I spent on Mount & Blade where because the myriad of mods available. Some where better than the original game. Banner has limitted mods and currently only 4 total conversions. There isn't much to play. They really need to put out a playable DLC that isn't caladaria.
Neither Fallout 3 or NV would start for me. The intro worked until the game actually started then would crash. After trying everything I could find on line I finally found a solution. On the Nexus there is a mod that makes the game run on a Nvdia 6700. The mod's name is Fallout 3 Intel bypass package. If you want to experience an even better game try the Tales of Two Wasteland that combines Fallout 3 & New Vegas into one great game.
This is one of the best if not the best tank sim available. It is much better than SSI Panzer Commander which had no infantry at all. With the added bonus of mods makes the game a great valu and add much more replay value. The only negative is the dated graphics but since tank sims are not likeley to be coming out by the dozens this is the best game.
