I played vampire Masquerade Bloodlines when it first came out. Ever since then, I’ve looked for the same gaming experience. I think I enjoyed playing it again more than the original time. This time, I could ramp up the graphics, and I didn’t have to wait for the CD’s to load scenes – sometimes crashing. This is a great RPG experience. I’ve never played any other game that creates just a vivid world. The writing is incredible, with a great sense of dark humor. Missions can be carried out using multiple styles. The scenery is just as engaging as it was 20 years ago, and the NPCs are individuals with great backstories and voice acting. True, some of the cut scenes look a little janky by modern standards, but they don’t detract from the experience. Replaying VMB is by far the best RPG experience I’ve had in years.
The Counicl is a Character driven adventure game. The characters are great, and especially hit the spot for a history buff. The dialogue choices have real consequences, and it is important to get to know each character. The 19th century scenery is spectacular.
An extremely engaging story. I would not call it a game. The "puzzles" are too basic for a challenge. Instead, the interaction is a way to keep the viewer engaged. It's like a movie where you can walk around the set and experience the story from multiple angles. The graphics are incredible, and their is a lot of effort put into the details. This is about the experience not the challenge, and it succeeds in creating a unique experience.
It is a beautiful recreation of paris during WWII. The story is engaging. Unfortunately, the difficulty varies too much. Some missions are very easy and others are impossible. It takes away from the story to spend an hour hitting reentry for the same mission.
