It's a very atmospheric, beautifully animated, well crafted classic adventure game. On the down side no surprises: dialog to read/listen through without real options and picking up items, combining them in the inventory or current room. No new ideas added to the genre. As I have played a lot of point and click adventure, I found the puzzle very ok - rather easy than hard, but most of all not ridiculous as in so many other games. It's also relatively short: after 3 hour the credits where rolling. But that's ok for the given price (bought for 20 Eu).
It took me around 3 hours to play through and I recommend playing it in one session. It's fascinating how I felt connected to the characters in this short time, even without real voice acting. A little bit anoying is the point of rerunning cut scenes which you can't fast forward (even if the game itself cuts some them later on). Kind of a walking simulator = great story, few things to do. But with a little thinking you can progress faster, with fewer reruns of timeline chapters. I can recommend it for everyone enjoying short games with a realy moving story.
Played it through in one evening. So it was the right length for me to enjoy it in one piece. The story happens in your head while your traveling through this world, solving simple puzzles (with only little chance to fail by destroying your machine). The music is awesome just as the graphic is beautiful. I can recommend this game to all players who don't have to much time anymore to play all day but who want to have an experience which is more or less unique.
Especially the added conversation options when I researched the environment and found out new details, make this adventure special to me. Good to very good puzzles, story, graphics, sound and voice acting. I can recommend this game to anyone who likes exciting stories and classical adventure style.
As I liked other Wadjet Eye Games a lot, I bought this one without reading reviews etc. For me, this game sadly lacks on the puzzles level (too easy / simple - even if I didn't know, what to do, there where only two or three things to do or click anyway) and on the story level (fragmented story / episodes; the game gave me no real motivation, why I should do something and what's the bigger plan or purpose for what I'm doing). So I can't recommend this one to adventure fans.
