Overall a really nice game. I have been reading some negative reviews about it and I wonder have we played the same game. It's a management game about running your own vineyard and controlling most aspects of it. It's fairly original idea with fairly simple execution. Keep certain number in certain limits and you will be fine. There is some RNG involved, there are some "random" events that can be unlocked, basically it's a really nice game. If I have to guess, I would say this is somebodies first game. There are some basic quality of life improvements, that can be implemented and the game would become 5* in no time. Dear dev, if you are reading this, I would have a section at the end, especially for you ;) The good: - Original idea. - Simple artstyle, but it's a management game. You don't need anything more. - Engaging gameplay if you are into management games. - A lot of extra options to unlock and discover - different soil, different barrels, different processes, it's lovely. The bad: - It's way too simplistic. Some things have clear one way of doing it. - It needs some quality of life improvements. - Some more options would be lovely. More bottle options, mixing grapes (unless I haven't unlocked it yet), Overall, 7/10 a nice little management game. Dear devs. There is such a thing as basic UX. When someone presses ESC they expect the main menu to show up. It's basic stuff... When I have a choice in game I expect each of the options to have a meaningful difference between them instead of there being a clear best option and clear worst option. Give me more than one way to do a thing. When I want to move around the map I can't just use the mouse. It's WASD or nothing. I would love some more random events. I've always had the same events. Having some extra would add variety and even more replay ability. I must say I am very happy with the game. It's just some tiny little things I guess are coming from inexperience. Good luck.
TL;DR - It have potencial, but runs badly and needs tweaking to the mechanics in order to be good. I didn't expect much when I see 2.6 out of 5 ratings and I was right. I do like the idea of limited resourses. You can't build your water well anywhere. It limits you, and limitations lead to creativity, so I like that. I like you can't just spam buildings, you have to think about it. I love this kind of management city builder games, so this is right up my alley. Here are the issues: 1. Runs badly. Sub 30fps on RX480 8GB and Ryzen 1700X. Yes, 1440p, but then again, sub 30? 2. I see the potential in limiting resourses, but come on now. I could not feed my 220 population no matter what. If only I could build another fishing dock. 3. Going to the world map drops the framerate like a hot potato and it's Diekatana all over again and I get aggravated... 4. It doesn't even look all that amazing. I mean I don't usually care about looks, but this is sub 30FPS game. And the looks doesn't really justify the low framerate. I can see how a bit of work on it can turn it into a really fun and challanging city builder and I would love to see it happen. Being a demo I decided to give the devs some feedback. Good luck ;)
In short: I love the game. I hate that it crashes. In long: It's really good city builder. Challenging, requires planing and thinking. The gameplay evolves as the city evolves, since the housing needs to be rebuild multiple times on different locations, so there is no static universal layout. I enjoyed playing the first few missions, and then the game crashed. And then again. And it keeps crashing. I'm sad, because I quite like the game. If the crashes get fixed - I would add 4-th star to the review. The 5-th star would eventually be for modern resolution, but I am pretty sure this is pretty much impossible.
