I understand that this game might not be everyone's cup of tea, but overall I think it is very well made: the art direction is stellar, the acrobatic puzzles are not hard and look amazing throughout the whole game, but to me the best part is the interaction between Elika and the protagonist (can't really call him Prince). Yeah, at times the writing is not ideal, but most of the time their dialogues made me smile and want to see where their relationship is going. I did not run into any issues with Windows 10 or unresponsive controls as other reviewers, and I just installed the game via GOG Galaxy. It's a shame there is no PC version of the Prince of Persia Epilogue DLC, but there are plenty of walkthroughs on YouTube, so that's where I am heading next to find out how this story really ends.

I know it is cool to hate Beamdog, but Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition is a great game in a great package. The annoying bugs are long gone, the game is fast and polished, the UI is great, especially for a 1998 game. I have spent more than 80 hours playing BGEE, and I honestly haven't as much fun with the originals. I am still trying new classes for my main character, new combinations of party members, still learning something about spells and items in the game. When you make that next step and find the game is getting quite a bit easier, there is always a next difficulty level, or you could always come up with cool personal limitations to the gameplay that fit the story and the world. And when you are running out of ideas, there is always the great community full of advices on how to prolong your fun with BG games.

Great atmosphere, open-ish world, lots of side quests, captivating cyberpunk story that is not as simple as it may seem at the beginning. The world is full of little details and interesting characters, though it rarely feels like you're on the run from some power. The only thing that I didn't enjoy that much was cyberspace sequences. After you get some upgrades, it becomes a bit easy and monotonous, even though the game designers tried to keep it different. Overall, it is definitely worth playing and exploring this game as much as you can. It is diverse, challenging enough, and there are plenty of details that you will enjoy.
