A netrunner focuses on intelligence, tech and cool(stealth) and their cyberware(implants) on maximum netrunning (hacking) efficiency! First of all: you can, if you want to, only attack via netrunning and take out any target thru lethal by frying their brains using malware or non-lethal means which will drop them stunned. On top of that there are plenty of options to control and debuff your enemies directly and indirectly, also to mass controll/debuff groups of enemies via hacks. You can interact with anything in your surroundings that would be remotely connected to the net and use that as a distraction or as a means to kill. You can hack your targets remotely thru the camera systems. Be sure tho to have something in your quickhacks arsenal to deal with enemy netrunners that will try to do the same to you >:) This game is everything a fan of the original DeusEx, Bladerunner, obviously the RPG and especially Masamune Shirow and Kenji Kamiyama could wish for! The atmosphere is incredible. The dialogues are a bit on the short side for when your character is speaking, but overall it is on par with witcher 3, for me even a little bit better. And that is thanks to going first person - it all happens right there in your face. You are almost never stuck in conversations, allowing you to act and after you had them you can stick around for sometimes to unlock further conversations with that person - so fight the urge to always run to the next questpoint! The city is incredibly alive and features soo many sidequests that are also very fun and sometimes go deep! Dont expect the most polished game as of right now, there are visual bugs, but one that is superb in the most important aspects: gameplay, tons of options and story! Worth every penny. Thank you! ____Spoiler___ YOU GOT OPTIONS MAN! Used the 10k from Dex on my new 15k 4slot cyberdeck, went to militech, got another 10k, removed the malware on the cred chip, saved both, hacked the mechs and now I am friends with both ;->

One can easily be fooled by the apperance and the first trailers that Life is Strange is merely a coming-of-age story, maybe even more so a Bildungsroman. Yet, there is a well written twist withing this beautiful, yet rough gem that will show itself in the last two episodes: a dark psychological, yet very realistic thriller. Thus, I highly recommend completing this game, as this game does it the way it ought to be done: building a wolrd, emotionally entangling you within its characters, relationships, places and also gameplay mechanics and when it has it's grip on you it unleashes it potential in story telling. Yes, I must stay vague as the consequences of your actions are far reaching - as far as revealing themselves only after a few episodes - when you embark on your journey with Max, a shy, innocent high school student back in her home town to study photography meeting her old friend, Chloe. The story does heavily borrow tropes from "american high school dramas", but in a decent way and while it first starts out pretty innocent the story with the characters and - hopefully - the player matures. It matures so much that down-right dark and brutal elements of human society such as death, kidnapping and rape *tho there is no rape scene!! it is done very well* come into play. However, you are not powerless in these situations, as Max can manipulate time. And while the gameplay mechanics could have been used in a stronger way, the rough edges of the gem, they are well implemented nonetheless. In closing, I would recommend playing this game if you like emotional, well written stories that take every day people and make them heroes thru small and at times big actions. Having the option to alter the course of time and to take back your decisions is great, teaching you somewhat to reflect on decisions beforehand. Max by reflective inner monologue will make you doubt even simple decisions that first seem black and white and then become this complex thing: life.

This game still has servers with players in 2019! You connect and jump right into the action, choose a class, there are usually around 6 classes, 4 you can choose any time and 2 more that are locked behind points - points earned by playing well, meaning that if you capture a spawn point or do a lot of damage and kills you will earn them during play. No loot cards-boxes-500USD-daily-subscription-lifetime-premium-cashing-in-season-pass-fee, just a great game. Great? Yeah, really great! Not only can you choose your classes rather freely, also heroes are available from the start (depending on server settings, usually timed and randomly dished out). Still you can just go to any vehicle and drive it and usually more than one person can drive around and man the turrets or whatever. And not only that: you start in a huge star destroyer, you run to the hangar, get either a tie fighter, tie intercepter, tie bomber .... then you fly over to the enemy friggate or star ship and bomb their comm. array, thrusters, shields ... OR just land in their hangar and steal a ship or run to their energy core and destroy the entire ship. Yeah, it is all there IN ONE MAP with bots around and players. It is a huge all out warefare, fun as hell since you can really do all you want to do. Try it, it is better than the latest games that came out by a rather sinister publisher... Thank GOG for making this a great cross-plattform (Steam and GOG together) playable game again!

This, the fourth installment of Deponia really does something to you. Let me be straight: this is only for fans and the series should be played from first to third in german language (!) and if you like the games then get this - no matter if you liked the ending or not, get this fourth one if you like and love the characters. Switch to english language once, right before you enter the love tunnel - the singer is awesome. Spoilers ahead: Rufus is a great 'antihero' (thats the term). His heroism in Deponia 3 leads to a lot of sad fans who are way too much in love with the pretty dull concept of 'Holywood Endings' and I am glad we got a real ending to the Deponia 1-3 series. But why Deponia 4 - besides the financial aspect of a company having struck a hit with its series? Well, as I mentioned there was a lot of complaining about the ending of the third part and Daedalic/Poki really did something awesome here: they are playing with the gamer's emotions towards the series and the characters! How do they do that? Well, they throw you right back before Deponia 1 even starts and let you mess it all up with a time mashine - thanks, McChronical. It is a great journey, letting you explore more of the characters, but it never hits that development as it did in the first three parts, and rightly so! They will let you take Rufus and Goal on a crazy ride, but other than that there are not that many helpers around and they dont build up a crew. And they will also show you that without all the advantures Rufus and Goal had in Deponia 1-3 they would never have fallen in love - their romance doesnt work otherwise. There is only one thing that Poki concedes to the fans: in the end Goal has the memory of everything that happend in the time loop and she gets the chance to let go off Rufus, to say goodbye. She mentions this in the outro that by doing this she regained hope that she had lost before - that is a little happy ending for Goal and I like this subtle, but great twist.

Well, this is a tough one. I love the old comic style, the german dialogue is decent, but kept so simple a 10 year old will easily understand, however the voice over is good. Tho, the dialogue only ever offers so much, some instances were pretty good. This seems to be made for 10 to 18 year olds. The story is ok, nothing grande and it will keep you playing. Dont expect a deep story or very deep RPG elements. You have some choice between weapons, armor, skills and magic, but it is limited - on the short side. I did run into some minor crashes, had to reaload - so save often. The gameplay itself is decent. I played with a controller which was ok. The lock-on function just barely works: zoom out, roll and side-step and hit fast enough for combos. I would recommend checking it out if the trailer interests you. It is fun, but has rough edges.

Great game, thank you for this gem. This is by far my favorite in the series. Seriously, if you like goofy humor, some hard puzzles and a good story, you will like it. And if you like monkey island, well, why are you reading this gibberish? Go ingame! If you are looking for a new game, give Deponia 1-3 a go - and if you like that, also Deponia 4: Doomsday. I can only say that the original language (german) is best, just like english is best with Monkey Island. Like always, a translation will never capture the charm of the original idea - usually carfully worded in the mother tongue. Guybrush is a much more likable character than Rufus! Other than that I can only recommend this to anyone wo likes this series.

This is a well crafted game and an enjoyable story with a few twists in it. The city is controlled by an organic AI - Central - and you are experiencing what it means to be a CEL agent and a person whose unrivaled affinity for the trance makes her a unique target. An interesting take on cyberspace and the physical world in a dystopian future - it is cyberpunk as you would expect it and thus there are, sadly, no surprises. Although the animations are good, the voice acting is great and the story is immersive and well told it is just a typical adventure game with decent riddles. None of them actually posed any difficulty and are solveable within seconds without having to go through a lot of informaiton. I would have rated this game higher if it had a deeper story with much more philosophical debate about the various endings. This game just scraches the surface of the possible implications that are mentioned in the game - I am staying vague as not to spoil anything for potential players. This is where the game hits and misses at the same time. Taking such an interesting subject - artificial intelligence, networking, manipulation of systems - and mixing it with politics/greed and idealism. One might knows this mix from works of Masamune Shirow. But again, there is much to be desired considering the scope of these subjects. You will very much enjoy it if you like cyberpunk. You will not be satisfied if the above mentioned subjects are of interest to you and you even work in those fields.
