Obviously this game is supposed to imulate the actualy construction work of house building. It has a very vague and general guideline and a "blueprint" that shows what bits and pieces you need to complete the project but not much in the way of allowing you to do it out of order of the "dev" control "tutorial, which often breaks down in the middle of a project. In fact, sometimes if you knock a board off of a cliff(say Northern Canada with the straw house-in which the boards should NOT be placed on a cliff in the first place! even if you don't do as instructed(and who but a fleabrained idiot would) drive the Chevy into the "blue arrow"! Even if you genitally "pick" up the boards and place them somewhere else, you nearly always konk into something setting a who lot of stuff flying 60(retaliative) feet in the air and landing in Limbo(where you can't in game emulation walk over and get) so the project is unfinishable(showstopper bugs we call them!) Most of the houses have one thing or another that seems off. And the "tutorial" is lame. You must finish in ORDER it says, not on your own initiative. The game seems to be made by very superficial people. for instance, like building a model car as "curbside" appeal tinting the windows black and and gluing down the hood. Most houses can be entered but lack any sort of interior. The ones that do it is very lack-luster and unfinished. for instance, the drywall in the Canadian common home is merely screwed in with your "speedy drywall" (acquired "feat") but their is no joint-compound no painting and looks ugly. The Roman House has no interior at all, yet overly detailed "landscaping. Bottom line their is no choice in anything. you do what the devs tell you sort of like control freaks. but often forgetting what to tell you next.

Firstly: The atmoshere and storyline are exelent! Very weigthed and serious. Reminds me of a lite edition of "Kingdom Come Deliverence" as the characters are similar in attitude. the voice actors are some of the trade overs from that game, Even one of the protagonists is portrayed by Henry's father and it's obvious This game takes place a couple decades after KKD but I often like to pretend he is Henry's father when that man was young and fighitng. as in the Prodlogue of KKD he gave us a pretty good hint we was a good fighter. Here you are two characters, both significant and on opposing sides of the same coin. The beginning character is a gruff seasoned man of God who is a vindicator of heritics and ruthless. His rather colourful eastern europe expressions(Swearing) is a nice touch and does not detract from the period atmosphere. The other a sort of paladin of tier type pios, noble and a bit more tactful. They both fight with the same attributes and hitpoints, energyh levels and slightly differnet equipment. But that is where the game gets a bit messed up. wanted to give it 5 however, the combat is undoable as the camera "viewpoint" is too high and the wonky controls make it difficult to get a baring on your own character. And if he is chaotically dog piled with his fellow platoon and swarmed in by a dozen or so enemies at least give us zoom capabilities! the "Wheel" mouse perspective is a bit odd. Not natural at all. You "turn" your player perspetive way to much considering all the chaos on a given battlefiled. It is difficult to get a beat on your opponent if it is raining dark, and your play character is under a tree! For example! I hope the devs are mature enough to listen to us fans and fix some of this control and perspective nonsense.

as an excuse to this GOG has conveinently "updated" its policies. See Feburary revisions. Just a way of saying they promise one thing and then turn the blame on us for complaining when they don't meet thos e "promises". "Gog is our little baby" Weil! You, my fellow parent are messing with mine! My long hard earned work money! YOU would have no baby if not for us cashing you that bottle! DRM FREE is the promise. and "It is called GOG" becasue that stands for GOOD OLD games, not rehashes and DRMS from EA UB and St;eam!

Firstly, it is supposed to be a light archadae game. and the amination and atmosphere is awesome! especially the articulation of the knights and monsters! Anyone who wants to put their brain in neutral for a time and just have fun it's great! I am an experienced gamer and play some intense games. -some of those gamess seem to take themselves too seriously. no this does not have an intense story arch. no it is not a dark-somber tale of tragedy, triump and deep "moving" characters. but who cares! what it is, it's a remake(spiritualy) of NES Ghosts and Goblins and SNES's Super Ghosts n Gouls and about as fun! Any who appriecates classics with an intense graphic upgrade would love it like it was an enhanced verision of GnG games! Your character is a strait foreward enough Knight, but he has the ability to upgrade his hitting and damage taking power via his wheapon(depicted by sword icon in numerical power ups) and his armour,(depicted, as armour is by a shiled icon and numerical powerups) you can boost your total max health, and get better equipment. But remember, when you leave a level you only get to keep what you have readied, not standby wheapons! so if you want that tower shiled and the ;mace when you start cracking undead bones on level 3, you need those selected before entering the gateway! The graphics are very remenescent of a game called "Overlords" and are gorgious with all the gothic high vaulted cathedral-like settings. The checkered tile very medieval and everything selected works. The opponent's animation is very articulate and they die writhing. The play character's movement is a little slow he cannot run(unless they fix that) and he cannot jump. But in armour, honestly, would you!? He CAN straife, which is (IMO) the BEST way to dodge attacks anyway! the WASP keys are key to most effective gameplay and they are utilzed quite well here! I wish one could jujmp and turn and attack, but this game is an archade and it does what it is meant to!

Toplitz did Farmer's Dynasty and LumberJack's Dynasty quite well. They were simplistic in thier way but charming and fun to play. not so with this drivel! the trouble here is they affiliated with aonther gaming "dev" and came out crap. Looks to me like they had planned something "big" and ended up with a bunch of infinished gobble-de-gook. The backstory stinks of social justice. The game play is a mess. and all the roaming around is tiresome. The graphics and lighting are terrible! The dialogue comedic. And it is as if you're play character has water and fishes in his shoes as he runs about doing stupid arrends mostly worthless. Unlike Farmer's or LumberJack's the quests are meanlingless petty and smallish. As if you are a grocery arrend boy, not a homesteader! Run around getting a sack of flower for this person so she can "allow" access to whatever stupid talant you don't yet have then picking up pencils for the schoolhouse so you can be(able) to do some other real thing on your homestead! This is not a wild west cowboy homestaeder sim, it is a walkie walkie sim, and too many games are these days! If you hate "Firewatch" then you will hate this too. Avoid it! This is NOT Farmer's Dynasty, a great game! Nor LumberJack's Dynasty also a great game with great characterls! It is a farce! with almost no fun factor and no motiviation at all...

alot of these "new" games get thier sales of of the "pitch" akin: "This game compares to Legend of Grimrock" or "Dungeon Master" well, I've got news for ya it don't! This game is a very bland and annoying attempt to recapture the classic era. The puzzels are dull, the environment is dull and the only "RPG" elemets are the mechanical "upgrades" the play character can add on his "armor". Also I don't honeslty know why GOG references Dungeon Master or Dungeon Master II at all on this or the sequal to this game as they don't even sell it!(and likely never will!).

I actually bought this thinking it was "Monkey Island 2" it is not. it is a rehash of it. and yes "Return" to monkey Island maybe another sequal but it is basically that. I played for less than an hour(hoping to get a refund) and found it to be yet another Bill Cosby Kids lesson. Touchie and feelie. turning the blame Guybrush puts on his enemies back on him a very common tactic of youths today. Girl Centric. probably to offset the "man centric" past, but no excuse. for example the girl/man pirate ratio is 7/2 3 and one characters is a girl! bad animation. and humor is junior legue. less random and less dynamic than the original Lucas Arts games. Think Disney Remake! these games are like "Thimbleweed" a rip off name for sure of "Threepwood" unoriginal missing the point and not even good at imulating. sorry guys try another dev for rehash, reboot, remakes maybe Himalaya Studios! at least they keep in spirit of the originals! these people of Torybox and D.D. flunkies! :(

and therefore are not the sort to MAKE our games! this does not define soldiers nor Wolfenstien the way it was intended(and is disrespectful of what started it all the original Wolfenstien! it is made by stupid kids who seen nothing but mommie's dark basement and eat PBJs and cold soggy cereal! they haven't lived so they should not be simulating life nor telling stories! do not watch idiots on youtube with euphoric voices telling how "awesome" this game is. instead just assume that everthing made post 2015 is woke and don't buy it! play for less than 2 hours, make your judgement call and get the refund. or better still don't waist your time on this potty train!
