chewing bubble gum and kicking ass

ahh the glory days of early 90's FPS, it never will get old. Back then there where so many games trying to cash in on the Doom style version of gameplay that you couldn't tell which game was actually good to purchase. Well I'm here to tell you, THIS is one of those games that's a must buy. Duke Nukem 3D is of course a classic FPS style game but with many gimicks that'll make your head swell. From dancing strippers to a gun that causes you to shrink your enemy and step on them, it was just one of those FPS that most if not all back in the day had. If you're a Fan of Doom, then you're gonna LOVE this one. The only complaint I had with this game was sometimes the lines Duke would say where NOT has funny as most people made them out to be. Sure they can give you a chuckle every once in a while, but it seemed to me that Duke just wasn't that funny as a character. Oh well...."HAIL TO THE KING BABY!"

Tex Murphy: Under a Killing Moon

a gem in a pile of crap

As I've mentioned before, most FMV games where just utter garbage. You had phantasmagoria 2, Who shot johny rock, etc, which all where just gimick games trying to cash in on the FMV craze of the 90's. However, you would sometimes find a game where you could actually say, "I enjoy the acting in this one as well as the gameplay". Killing moon is one of these games that just pulls it off. It has great FMV acting, the gameplay is just grand, and the whole story line really puts you in the mood for a good mystery. Of course when I played this, you had to keep switching the discs and THAT was the only thing that really bugged me about Under a Killing Moon. Now however, you have no worries about disc swapping, so enjoy this game and be ready for a classic Detective style mystery. A hint for anyone knew to this type of game is to always have with you a pen and paper to jot down notes as you'll come across some portions of the game where you'll need to go back and read important clues to solve certain portions of the game.

Phantasmagoria 2: A Puzzle of Flesh

Meh...

I remmember playing this game back in 97 when I was really into the whole horror genre. I expected it to be cheesey since hey, it's a FMV game, you're not gonna get grade A acting. If you're expecting a game with block buster action, sheer terror, and adrenaline pumping scenes,.....meh....go play something else. However, if you wanna play a game with goofy puns, so bad it's good murder scenes, and B movie style acting, give this game a shot. Be warned, don't take this game seriously and try to remmember, this was made back in the 90's where FMV was all the rage. Oh...and one more thing "I heard that Curtis"
