Field of Glory II: Medieval

Enjoyable in a bundle with FOG:Empires

Great tactical battle game. Really enables the player to feel like a general. The turn based approach affords more intricate tactics than Total Wars rushed feeling. Battles play out very dynamic and some make or break fights induce nail biting suspense. "My knights need to do a last push along the flank to win the battle. Else my center will crumble. Can they do it in a last ditch push to win the day?" There is not a complex campaign, so i got FOG:Kingdoms where I play the strategic campaign and export my battles here to do the tactical fighting. Definitely try out this bundle. Its basically a turn based more deep Total War.

Field of Glory: Kingdoms

Great successor to FOG:Empires

Really fun grand strategy game and a succesful successor to FOG:Empires. A lot of depth and a lot of strategic thinking needed. Greatly improved the diplomacy options. Innovative building system. A lot of good ideas for the grand strategy genre. Especially enjoyable in a bundle with FOG2:Medieval. So you can play strategically and then command the troups you built for war on a tactical map yourself. Adds so much enjoyment to see your expensive knights in action and really use them to win a huge battle. Id say in this combo of those two games which is available as a bundle, it is= a great Total War substitute for me.
