As far as 4x strategy games go, i have played literally everything i could get my hands on. now you my find my opinion a bit biased, but for me Stellaris is just empty eye candy. When it comes to simulation of a huge, living and restless galaxy Distant Worlds is the best you will ever get. The depth of this game is INSANE. Interface and graphics have made a huge jump and now everything is smooth, explicit and streamlined, just waiting to be discovered. Really, really the best game of the genre, by far.
I really like point and click adventures. As far this one goes, it is not bad. Story is captivating, gameplay is smooth, albeit quite linear (which is to be expected given it is a police investigation story). Multiple ways to approach a situation and 3 possible endings. Puzzles are logical and with one small exception quite intuitive. So the main highlight is the story, which i can recomand as it will have you thinking. Great voice acting also.
As a fan of quest games i can only say it is not a bad game. not at all. good graphics, good music, nice story. puzzles are logical, but sometimes quite challenging (cyrillics i look at you). Game crashed a few times after long hours of play, but autosave does a good job. All around good game.
Really good game. I kinda liked 3 games, lately: Resonance, Technobabylon and Unavowed. All of them really good. All of them Dave Gillbert (funny but i only noticed this after playing the 3 games). Specially the storytelling part. Really enjoyable. Dave Gillbert, love you man. Keep up the good work. So, all in all if you like adventure games, you really need to check these ones out.
I am an old adventure game player. Like Maniac Mansion old. I have played Technobabylon and now Unavowed. They offer exactly what i an looking for in an adventure game: good story, good characters, credible and immersive universe. What stands out even more with Unavowed is that you make choices: story choices, party choices witch impact how you experience the story and adds Replayability. Yep. there are different ways to solve the puzzles depending on your party members. You cannot die Sierra style nor get stuck, and puzzles are logical and fun, not irrational or mind bending. So, very fun game. Highly recommend.
