Excellent value

I've played all of these elsewhere a long time ago, and there are 4½ great adventure games here—the first 3 Secret Files, LH 1, and the 4th SF is also good but short. The style is old-school Point & Click, but the stories and puzzles are generally fun and interesting. On sale, this bundle is a real steal veal meal deal :)

Hero of the Kingdom II

Enjoyable chill adventure

I've played all the HotK games a while back, and it's mostly a case of if you like one of them, you'll like all of them—and vice versa of course. There are some frustrations in the game mechanics, especially around crafting potions, but overall the puzzle adventure mix is very nicely done. The series is on my list of probable replays in the future.

Happy Anniversary, and thanks :)

Been with you guys a long time, and really appreciate what you did for older games at Good Old Games. Very best of luck for the future.

Crysis®

Outstanding early, Bad late

I replay Crysis & its Warhead expansion annually, it's still that good—thank you Crytek for this & Far Cry. If I ever get tired of it, there are some great mods to try. I won't repeat other reviewers' descriptions. The first 2/3 is an outstanding open-world multi-choice experience—each replay I try to remember what I did last year, and look for an alternative this time. Warhead mirrors this part of the game. I've only played the last 1/3 of the game once, just to complete the game. Very different experience, which I do not enjoy at all—much more of the closed-world on-rails guns blazing in other popular games I don't like. But the first 2/3 is so good, it's still a 5-star game. Tech quality is also outstanding, both gameplay & interface, it's obvious it was made for PC first. If you like strategic & tactical choices in an open world environment, Crysis & Warhead are still top choices.
