Turbo Overkill is really really good. The combat is engaging, the movement feels amazing, the art direction is great, the sound fits so well the game and the story is interesting (the ending is bad though). TO is inspired by games like Quake I and Doom Ethernal. I haven't had this much fun with a FPS in quite some time and that's crazy considering how many other boomer shooters exist. It's a truly special game.
Fun game, a mix of Doom and Titanfall, with a great eenvironment and a great soundtrack. The main story is fun and engaging and the secondary missions are a fine and more in a bounty style. Levelling is also well done in my opinion with the ability to change pretty much every aspect of your avatar and its weapons. Note that the game can be repetitive. In order to like the game you need to like its main loop. Enemies arer always the same and the only thing changing is level design. The only complain I have is the performance. I have to use a lower resolution, disable dx 12, put everything to medium to get a almost always smooth experience with a 1080 TI. I still get some stutters and it's very annoying.
I love Gothic I and II. They are some of the best RPGs available out there. They are not perfect by any means but they are good RPGs. They give you freedom, a good challenge and an interesting story. Gothic 3 was never fully finished and I can only say the game is clearly unfinished and, as such, not remotely as good as the first two games. But this abomination is something else. This is a bad game. Gothic deserved a good ending, not this shit. Forsaken Gods makes no sense from a story point of view, has bad quests, bad mechanics, it's buggy and it's broekn. I despise this thing. This is a worse sequel than Fallout 76. Don't buy this game. Don't give them money.
The game is fantastic: music, art direction, gameplay, weapons, .... . It's a 5/5 in everything, a masterpiece of a game, one of those old-style FPS that you can't stop playing because it's just *THAT* good. The only issue is how it runs. I have a 1080TI and the game stutters on me. Sometimes, particularly when there are 10+ creatures on the screen, the game can get frustrating to play and it's a shame. This is an early access so I'm sure the devs will fix the issues but for now I can't give it a 5/5 as a score even it deserves it for everything else.
I'm addicted to this game. The combat is frenetic, fast, bloody and satisfying. The feeling when you headshot an enemy or set them on fire is perfect. The random generation makes the game replayable. The upgrades are all good and worth investing. I love it.
