Detective gallo is a 2d point and click adventure game made in ags. now unlike most adventure game studio games detective gallo goes back to the olden days in terms of puzzles design. most modern point and clicks tend to focus more on tell a story with interesting characters with logical puzzles. not gallo however it wants to be a Lucas arts game but suffers from almost every stereotype adventure games have gotten over the years. the art is really good i could not blivet this is an ags game as most just use the sierra style. while this game sues one more in common with say humoungous entertainment. the writing is also pretty solid for the most part. sure most jokes don't hit but the fact the main character treats everything like he is in a serious norie murder mystery is a joke in itself but thats where all the good ends. the puzzles are badly designed. there is never a clear indication on what you are supposed to do it relies s way to much on moon logic. as such your gonna want a walkthrough on hand at all times. really this game can not be recommended unless its on sale and you have nothing else to play. if you want a better modern comedy point and click your better off with such games as : the journey down, thimbleweed park, or paradigm.
