Ashes 2063 is one of the best Doom mods that I've ever played. It's atmospheric, the combat is incredibly solid, and being able to explore a wasteland that has dangerous foes and NPCS that can help you out is one of the best experiences that I've had in a while. My only real complaint is that the motorcycle is a bit wonky to control, but it's something to get used to to experience the rest of the mod.
One of the soundtracks that defined the term "5 out of 5 soundtrack comes with game". It really is amazing.
Ion Fury is one of the best throwback shooters. An incredible variety of enemies and guns, fantastic looking levels and sprite, and a fun time all around. It even uses the engine that Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior, and Blood ran on, so it plays just like how shooters use to.
Outside of a few minor bugs, Blood: Fresh Supply is a fantastic way to play Blood and it's expansion packs.
