Last game i buy from these devs (company). I bought the Champion edition etc and now this edition comes and not even a BIG discount for owners of the game or even free upgrade. My game not even listed on GOG again, its just this version now and I do not even get any acknowledgement because i own the Champion edition. Why did i even bother buying the Champion edition and goodies. Done with this company.
Mafia was ok for the time it came out. This game did not age well. The controls were clunky and i remember the frustration of driving and controlling your character. This is only for the nostalgic people and NOT worth the $14.99 price tag. This game is a $2.99 game at best. The game did not age well for that price tag.
Best RPG i have ever played so far. Definitely recommend to anyone interested in this genre. I would have thought GOG would give the GOTY automatically to anyone (like myself) who owns the game, both expansions, the expansion pass etc, everything. Would have been nice to get converted to the GOTY edition since i own everything already. Now it seems i have to buy again just to get the GOTY edition which i will NOT do since i own all already. Alas greed is becoming everywhere now.
So it seems the devs ran away after basically stealing everyones money for an incomplete game with a huge price tag. I thought they would finish the game, more polish, more trade items, more bug fixes etc etc. No more updates or patches for almost 4 months now based on this review date. So it seems this game is abandoned. Stay clear of this game for now and definitely not worth the price tag, game is boring in first 2 hours, very repetitive, very quickly. No need to trade with other empires, just build 4 or 5 towns and trade with yourself all the items (20 of them) in the game. Lots of other stupid boring stuff. This game is not even worth 5 dollars. I hate it when devs grab and run.
I AGREE!! This is rediculous, lately all these very old 2000 or less years games get sold for $5.99. These games are at $1.99 at most and even then rediculous for a 20mb game. I really think GOG should start looking at their prices, they are really pushing them a lot lately.
I am really happy about The Witcher 3 and really like the free DLCs but not impressed by the content of the DLCs. These DLCs are basically content that should have been in the game anyway, the DLCs do not offer much except new look, armor etc. The worst of it all is that the DLCs are too late as well, the armor and weapons you get is for such low levels that most of us are already level 20 and up and NOW only do we get DLCs for gear which is for level 10-15. So basically the DLCs are useless by the time we get it. This is just my realistic opinion about the gear you get which is too low for people like us who started playing since launch day. Either the DLCs should have gear that is level 30 or above or rather give us DLCs with missions or crafting material thats difficult to find, the gear DLCs mean absolutely nothing for me because its too late and too low level.
I have only been playing for a few hours and WOW. I have not played a game like this since Baldurs Gate and Icewind Dale. Very nice graphics for todays RPGs, the story is so rich and keeps you wanting more, its not just about the combat, it actually has a deep story. Most of the conversations i had so far had voice acting which is refreshing since most of the new RPGs coming out lately done so cheaply. This game tops it again and i think this game is a jewel and will make its mark in the gaming industry. I would recommend this game very highly to anyone who enjoyed games like Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights and Planescape: Torment. It has a deep enriching story for any real ROLE PLAYING gamers. Then combat is very nicely done, character creation very deep, back story very nice for the characters. Lots of modes to choose from for difficulty, iron mode etc. Journal is so nicely done to keep track of quests, Cyclopedia consisting of Bestiary, Afflictions and Injuries, Character Stats, Combat Mechanics, Deities and Equipment. You can even create your own notes. The game is stable and i have not had any bugs or crashes YET, lol. For a game that started as a kickstarter project i can definitely say they show other established developers and publishers how its done. A Definite buy for any RPG gamer. Well go into game, wanted to change my resolution, game just froze when it brought up the list of resolutions, killed the task, go into game again, try changing keys and again game froze. Not really impressed by this at all. If its bug ridden already at this stage, how will the actual game play and bugs there. Will update my review once i get to play and not freeze trying to do setups in Options. Regards all GOG people. :)
Its funny how the average ratting is 4 out of 5 stars (before my rating) and there are only 2 people who rated it (before me). One gave it 4 out of 5 and the other 2 out of 5. Should the average rating not be 3 then????????? or is my logic wrong???? Hmmm GOG i think you should look at this as it seems your average rating based on users opinion of game is misleading and appears that it will always rate games better. Is this so to sell more games so that people think game is rated high. I used to use this rating as a benchmark how people feel about the games, i guess i will not trust this average rating anymore. Anyway, yes i agree with the 2 people about the problems with this game, too many bugs, incomplete quests and balancing issues. Regards to all :)
