I love combat mission! This along with Red Thunder and Cold war Is my favorite. I also enjoy Beyond Overlord, Shock Force 2 and The one with Ukraine! What can I say! I wish Steam would port the first 3 over and continue to have these instead of just letting Matrix Games have them. I love it! I love playing these games with my friends and trolling them when I ambush them or they walk into a trap! Its not as realistic theres more that could be done but Its awesome!
I remember playing this game on SNES when It first came out. I was I think 13 or 14. It was mind blowing! I love what they did. I'm gonna see if I can't find the sequels. Want to see what happened to Conrad after this...
Ignore the negative remarks about how they've editted the faces of the enemies and the sounds they make. There are new foes, old foes new challenges. Its a new story with new things and its better than the old one.
Great job giving us this great game. Hopefully You'll also do as good with Breach 3. A lot of the versions on Abandonware were Effed up so hopefully you'll get it up here eventually all nicely done!
Thank you for Giving this back to us GOG! A warning to new beginners... This game is tough! Be patient and don't dive in and don't lose your paladin. Your Theives, Swordsmen can fight and sometimes the mage's spells DO work!
BUT WHERE'S THE MANUAL!! GOG!! Please get your self straight OKAY? Young people deserve to enjoy this game but ROE2 is more complicated! They need the manual!! you can find it online on some sites but GOG you need to include it!!!!! Also anyone still having issues should reconfigure dos box rune ROE2.exe instead or better still run the setup file. The problems people have been having involve that. Also, to run Breach 2 scenarios you have to manually place the Breach2 game into the ROE2 directory. Breach 3 unfortunately is a problem. The idiots who compiled it messed up and I'm scared hoe GOG will handle it. Also I only know of one instance someone got B3 maps to work and unfortunately sound didn't work. So well have to wait. Hopefully they'll put this all on steam. GOG please fix this and get the manuals up OK??? I give you better rating then.
Okay so the game is repaired. Anyone still having issues with the game needs to reconfigure Dosbox and run setup and ROE instead of ROEmain or some other exe file. The manual can be found on other websites but Im dissapointed that GOG.com did not include it. PLEASE!! FIX THIS! New people and younger gamers deserve to enjoy this great game.
The dos version is a bit sloppy. You have not included the Amiga, c64 and Atar ST versions. PLEASE DO SO. IF YOU DO I WILL GIVE YOU A FULL RATING!!
Gog.com, I love this game its good but the Dos version is very very tacky the keys and UI are hard to use. Please include Amiga and Atari ST versions and any other version of this good old gem.
GOG, please give us the other versions of this great game including the Amiga and ST versions. The Dos game is playble but hard to run it uses the same tacky UI as Paladin. PLEASE! I will buy it if you do!
