A little bit short, but still very enjoyable. I really like the not so clear ending.
I do not really know why I like this game. Essentially the story just meh and the gameplay is just typing. I never thought I would play it for more than couple of minutes. Somehow, I was drawn by the visuals and just enjoy walking through the world that literally unfolds as I progress through it. The combat also works, probably it won’t make you a better typist, but at least there is some motivation to be better at pressing keyboard and spelling words correctly. It can be a little bit harder once you need to switch between different magic types, but the difficulty is somewhat adaptable. There was one battle that I needed to restart more times that I would like. However other than that it was OK.
I tried to like it, but it is just way to slow and I feel like my actions do not have any real consequence. It consist of reading text and highlighting sentences with relevant data. Sometimes you can postpone some data and must resolve a conflict. But I always have an impression, that the game just want certain data to be extracted from texts and when I do not do it I just cannot continue. I must say fourth and fifth chapters are very well written, so that why I give 3 stars, I was prepared for just two.
Trine was great and this is basically more of the same. It looks gorgeous and soundtrack is fine. Gameplay is solid, switching between characters is great mechanic. It allow solving environment puzzles in multiple ways. However I have some issues. Original game (not the DLC) is quite easy and to me it is very repetitive at the end. Dying is not penalized in any way so sometimes combat is not a real challenge, you can respawn as many times as you want, but the dead enemies are dead.
