Legend of Grimrock

Finest Dungeonmaster Clone Ever Made

So, way back in the 1980s, there was a fantastic dungeon crawler on Amiga and a few other platforms called Dungeonmaster. You took on the role of various heroes in a first-person, almost-kinda-real-time dungeon exploration game that was heavily mouse-interface oriented and all graphical with little to no words (which made it distinct from prior dungeon crawlers like the Wizardry series). Lots of traps and puzzles kept it fresh, but the constant danger of monsters kept it thrilling. Legend of Grimrock takes that formula and perfects it. Not really a story-focused RPG, LoG instead excels at verisimilitude, mood, and exploration. You feel like you're really exploring a dungeon, and that is what makes it great.
