They did it again. 11bit once again made a game that makes you think about your morality, checks your resourcefulness in base management. Will you cause a revolt or peacefully save everyone. Will somebody die or be always healthy. All of that mixed with third person exploration. Definitely worth any minute of your time.
I bought CP2077 as pre-order againts a promise to myself that i'll never buy a game that way. Would I wait after everything I know now? Yes. Prefered to run anywhere rather than driving - driving WAS awful, it's much better now - and you can meet some chooms or gigs on the road anyway. I prefer games with well writen characters and story over graphics, and CP2077 had the first two from the start. Graphics were "good" but chunks of missing maps, cars vanishing under the map, invisible walls out of nowhere etc...It was exhausting. Luckly REDs took all critisising to heart and make it their mission to fix the game. And then update after update game was more put together (and yes it should be like that from the start). DLC with amazing characters, choices, and that STORY! And here we are now on update 2.2. I'm over 420 hours and on my fifth playthrough. Easter eggs are all around, you'll jump from the bridge and probably find some. Play around with game options, disable all HUD, go with your gut and have fun! I saw many disappointed fans online - mainly console players - but those on PC, if you played this game right after premiere and dropped it, give it another chance. Easily top3 in my fave game list. I love this game, community is amazing, the way Larian cares about this game and it's players is outstanding. I won't write anything because you have to experience it yourself. Enjoy
I'm writing it after two years. I bought this game here at GoG in the middle of 2017 for my Father who just retired, because he loved strategy games and his old PC crashed at that time (gave my old laptop to him too). He used to play Cossacks along with Aztecs and AoE for many years. He would come back from work and sit for many hours just playing and talking with us at the same time. I would sit beside him and he would always enthusiastically explain to me how each troop and building work. He passed 2018. And i still miss him. And this game will always remind me of him, and as i can't find our old CD version i appreciate that GoG has this version. If over 60 year old man can play this game for over 300h and really enjoy it then money are really well spent.
