Grim Dawn

Great Rainy Day Game

When you need a game that isn't complicated this is it. Easy to learn but with enough character building for replayability. Call up an audiobook and have fun!

Age of Wonders 3

There should be a catagory that explains you have to create an account to play.

Svarog's Dream

Great Relaxing Game

What a great game. Now if you're looking for Baldur's Gate 4 or the newest Dragon's Age you'll be disappointed. But if you are looking for a game that is entertaining and enjoyable, great music, and even (under one of skill sets) has hunting dogs (!), here you go. An RPG cozy game I guess you could say. The builders mention Titian Quest as an inspiration. I do wish there was a little more on the magic skill tree but you do well with what is there. The player does have to wait for a few minutes before you can get a spell book, that should be fixed. I put on an audiobook and play this game for hours.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw

Some like dogs, some like cats

I don't quite understand all the negative reviews. If you don't like the game, return it. That's one reason most of my games are on GOG in the first place. Anyway. My setup is a keyboard and mouse, I7 laptop, 6g graphics card,16 gig of ram. I don't play games online so it isn't an issue that this is a solo game. I am not a programmer and the last time I worked on a computer the 386 just came out. Negative. The inability to save. From what I read the game is suppose save whenever you land on a station. It doesn't. It will save at odd times, like right before a battle. So if you are overwhelmed and can't win, the second to the last save could be two hours ago. Personally I don[t know why the creators of the game did it this way but that was up to them. It is their game, if you don't like it, return it. Of course you can always save the game and quit, go out to the save game folder, and copy the file. Really not that hard, a little annoying, but I like the game and it is worth it. This isn't a negative to me but I can see where some people don't like it. You will have to do A LOT of small missions, going back and forth, shooting mines, yadda yadda. You don't get a Death Star right off. But seriously, most game are like this. You have to kill a whole lot of goblins in most fantasy games before you get the Sword of Incredible Awesomeness. I guess the creators could have had one of those levels for people who just want the story and very little battle, don't know. Now personally, I could go for having pilot skills, being able to make up what my pilot looks like, but that's okay. The game is small, especially considering some new games that have come out. That's good because all my games need to be on my hard drive. If you like yaw, roll, all that stuff, it is there. But be aware you can, as I do, work at getting the most powerful ship there is and killing everything. You can also rescue the pilots for a reward or shoot them. Music is incredible, was on Rebel Galaxy too. Personally I turn off the music and listen to a podcast or audiobook because there are a lot of small missions. If you like Heavy Metal, you'll like the intro. I appreciate the in-game stuff, but wish the characters inside were like the character in the intro. Finally, to those who wrote such scathing reviews, take a breath. Go outside, breath, if you have a pet give some attention. It's a game for god's sake.

Starpoint Gemini 3

Not Newbie Friendly

A lot of people liked this game, so keep that in mind. Often I need a tutorial to make sure I know all the keystrokes and such. The tutorial in this game is ridiculous. It often doesn't show what to do, and then when I went to the option menu there's no real help with keyboard control. At one point you are suppose to go through a jump gate. It doesn't tell you how and you have 10 seconds to do it. I tried it over and over again, blowing up every attempt, and I still don't know why I blew up. After 20 minutes (gave it time) I just asked Gog for my money back. This game is under development so there's that to keep in mind.
