Tyrian 2000

Classic game from childhood

I played this game on shareware decades ago and now I can finally go through the whole 5 episodes on GOG. Great shoot em up with upgrades and lore / story through collecting data cubes. If you are a fan of space shmups definitely give this a spin.

GreedFall

Like being in your own epic movie

Its an RPG. I have been playing for about 8 days now and I'm probably about 15% of the way through. Its quite similar to Fallout 3, NV, & 4 except that its set in the Dishonored time period. But I think I prefer it to the Fallout series. For the following reasons. - The story is well written and fleshed out. - There are just the right amount of dialog choices and skill checks in dialogue. The cutscenes that involve branching dialogue are like being part of your own movie. Reminds me of KOTOR. - Meaningful customisations of your character that look better and are more culturally diverse than Fallout. - The combat is challenging but learnable. I am enjoying guns and swords. - Its not overly complicated to skill and talent up - I added the Stasis magic spell and it really helps in combat. - Well voice acted, arguably better than the Fallout series. - Graphics look good. - The quality of life systems are surprsingly well thought out. Thoughtful Fast travel points, adequate merchants and access to your home stash from each campsite you make.
