UnderRail

BORING. After updates even more so

The game was semi enjoyable for me the one and only time I played it. After the updates everything just got worse. Its a very long game and is very challenging. Not so much in combat but in actually having the time to play it and knowing what to do to enjoy it. It is very tedious and boring. What I DID like was character building. It was satisfying to build a character and level it up. But they decided to make the game even more convoluted and difficult to manage than it already was. I uninstalled it because its too complicated and time consuming to enjoy anymore. I would not recommend Underrail unless you really enjoyed fallout 1 and 2 but wanted a game thats far longer, more time consuming, more complicated and more boring then sure pick up Underrail.

Kenshi

One of the best games Ive ever played.

A unique game of which I know no equal. Brutally difficult until you learn how dangerous the world is. Its a sandbox game where you build a team of characters, research tech, explore the world, craft equipment, build an outpost and establish your own objectives. Truly amazing on its own but you are gonna want MODS and there are a plenty but I highly recommend them.

Distant Worlds: Universe

Looks daunting but wait...

Of all the strategy games ive ever played, none have offered the same breadth of automation to micromanagement. You can literally automate everything and watch the game run, or micromanage every single thing that you want. Of course we will fall between those somewhere. Its a 4x space game that has a very large tech tree, HUGE fleets of ships whose number is only limited by your pc capabilities, ship and base design with an enormous amount of design options, a HUGE number of set up options making each game a unique one. See the theme here? No space strategy game gives you more options and replay value than distant worlds. I could go on and on but its simply one of my favorite games of space strategy games all time. If you like space, strategy, RTS, 4x, and are patient and willing to explore the game UI before feeling overwhelmed, then you are in for MONTHS of enjoyment.

Darkest Dungeon®

Its OK

Its a great game if you have to burn time at work or waiting for an appointment. But it really should have only been for tablets alone as it has no depth whatsoever. Its a dice roll tactics game that can be quite fun but quite repetitive after a short time. The art is neat but gameplay is very simple and boring. It is challenging but annoyingly as its just an endless grind. Like i said, short bursts of boredom could be dealt with by playing this game. Overall the game is worth about $5 and no more.

Master of Magic Classic

One of the best strategy games ever made

I play the crap out of this game. Its simply awesome. Just so fun. All the spells, races, combat and specials make a very simple to play but deep game. And can be quite challenging. If you like strategy like civ games i have no doubt you will like MoM. I recommend the mods as they add even more gameplay. Seriously master of magic is truly incredible. GET IT!

Master of Orion 3

Not for everyone

Having played all 3 i can see why people were so disappointed with MOO3. For me though, MOO3 was the first of the series i ever played and i really enjoyed it. That said it is radically different from the first two and is much more automated. Additionally, in its vanilla state it had dramatic game breaking bugs in much of the game. However with the correct patches and even some tweak and fix mods available the game is awesome, extremely fun, and challenging. It does however take a lot of trial and error to discover how everything works and how to do everything. I personally LOVE Moo3 and have been playing it for over a decade. Please dont let the negative rating dissuade you from giving the game a chance. if you like 4x space games and like empire building im sure with a little patience you will greaty enjoy Moo3 too!
