Nope Nope Nurses

Very well written for a nukige!

This VN was way better than I thought it would be. I must admit I tried it out based on the wacky premise alone. Poor Yamada-kun suffers from a terrible disease where he has to coom every 3 hours or he dies! As luck would have it he manages to break both his hands and now he's forced to stay in a hospital room with his hands bandaged until they heal. Luckily for him the hospital is staffed with sexy nurses who are, if not willing, at least able to help him with his cooming problem. Did I say lucky? This guy has landed in femdom hell! These bîtches are bad to the bone. Will MC-kun survive with his dick intact long enough until his hands are healed and is discharged from the hospital? Read this riveting kinetic novel to find out! In case you couldn't tell already, this is a fetish novel through and through. The thing is, even if you're like me and you're not particularly into this fetish, the writing present here is easily heads and shoulders above your average eroge. While the plot itself is not all that original, what makes this novel stand out is the quality of the characters present here, and the excellent performance performance that the voice actresses put out here. You can tell that all of the women had an absolute blast interpreting their roles. This is a kinetic novel, so there are no choices to be had, but that didn't bother me too much. IMO this worked in the novel's favor, as I found that it accentuated Yamada's hopeless situation. This isn't a horror novel per se, but it does give that feel sometimes due to the de-saturated color palette being used and the ominous soundtrack. I enjoyed my time with this one a lot, and I'm definitely going to read the second one, as well as the third one when it eventually comes out. Looks can be deceiving and this novel proved it. I did not expect such quality writing from a mere nukige but there you go. I think that many people could enjoy this even if you aren't into femdom. PS: fck the character limit on this site

IdolDays

Short and sweet idol moege

After reading TroubleDays a while back I decided to try out another "Days" title. While they aren't exactly part of the same series, all these novels take place in the same universe and will reference one another. I think this is a cool thing to do to give this kind of fan service (heh) to previous customers. Anyway so this time around you are guy named "Producer" whose task is to scout out new talent for an idol company. You come across a rowdy girl by the name of Tsubaki who seems to have just what it takes to make into the idol industry. I think you can probably tell how the story plays out from here. It's very predictable, but that's not to say that it's bad. I enjoyed it personally. The only two characters worth mentioning are MC-kun aka Producer and Tsubaki. The biggest downside to this novel is the MC who is yet again one of these pussy ass beta male protagonists that I despise from the bottom of my heart but for some reason Japan seems love. Luckily Tsubaki is much better. She as attitude, which is something that I appreciate in these female protagonists. Great girl, shit protagonist, as to be expected from these titles. There are three endings: a bad one (has no extra CG) and a couple of good ones. You might want to use a walkthrough, although in general the idea when it comes to the choices is to not be an indecisive loser if you want the good endings. The technical aspect is perfect as expected from this developer. The controls are perfectly customizable so I have zero complaints on this part. The novel uses this cool E-mote system where the character on screen is animated which gives the experience a more "immersive" feel. The art is excellent, both for backgrounds as well as CGs. The H scenes are the typical vanilla variety, though they are fully uncensored which is always a huge plus in my eyes. The novel is also short. I finished it in one day. 100% completion took me 4 1/2 hours.

Nice moege VN featuring a cute succubus

This turned out to be a bit different than expected. I expected a nukige and got a moege instead. This is a pure love story between your average MC and a cute succubus named Lovelia. I had my eyes on this VN for a while now after seeing how cute the girl looked. This is a short VN (about 6 hours to complete at a brisk pace) so don't expect an epic romance plot. But for what it is it manages to achieve what it sets out to and it definitely brings in the feels. There are essentially only two characters: the MC and Lovelia. Only she has an in-game sprite and voice acting. Every other character is just text. A bit disappointing, but this is a budget title after all. Lovelia is a moe succubus, who is more than she appears to be. Or perhaps she is exactly as she appears to be, depending on your perspective. I love her character design and her moe personality. For being a succubus she is shy and reserved, at least until she gets to know her Ningen-san a bit better. There are three endings in total: a neutral one, a bad one, and a good one. You will want to get the bad one as well as it comes with its own scene and CGs. Personally I liked all of the endings. They all brought the story to a satisfying conclusion in their own way. The good one was lovey-dovey as you can expect. The neutral was surprisingly moving. As for the bad one, well, you'll see.;) There are several uncensored H-scenes and they are mostly vanilla. Mostly. You'll see. They also have just the right length for my taste. Sometimes developers make these long drawn out H-scenes in order to pad out the length of the VN, but luckily this is not the case here. From a technical perspective the game is great. The backgrounds and CGs are gorgeous. Lovelia is the only character with an in-game sprite, however she is very well animated and voice acted. The controls are perfect and I easily managed to adjust the text exactly to my liking. Overall a good VN for succubus lovers PS: Taxi Driver A was the real MVP

DATE A LIVE: Rio Reincarnation

Service for the Fans

There are few things to clear first before continuing with my review. First of all, this is aimed at the fans of the franchise. If you like Date A Live then this VN will definitely be a must buy; otherwise this one will probably not bring you much enjoyment. In that sense this VN is the very definition of fan service. This leads to point number two that I want to make.. If you're here for H-scenes then this product is not for you. While there's a decent ammount of ecchi content, it never verges into 18+. Date A Live is NOT a hentai franchise. Do not go looking around for an 18+ patch because there is none to be found anywhere. That being said let's talk a bit about the VN itself. The basic structure for each chapter is that there is a main route but you can at different points freely choose which girl you wish to date. Use a walkthrough. The order of the chapters in the main menu is wrong. Here is the order you should play in: 1) Rinne Utopia - Takes place between Season 1 and 2 of the anime. 2) Arusu Install - Takes place between Season 2 and 3 of the anime. 3) Rio Reincarnation - Takes place again between Season 2 and 3 of the anime and continues from where Arusu Install left off. GOG's review feature sucks so my space is limited; as such I can't talk too much in depth here. Suffice to say each chapter offers a good mix of humour, feels, and lewds. They also have new VN-only girls you can date. I liked all of them, perhaps even more than the original ones! RU has the most romantic development with the girls. AI is more slice of life and ramps up the ecchi. RR brings in the most feels as it concludes the trilogy. The artwork is beautiful and improves with each chapter. The CGs are wallpaper material! The sprites are beautifully drawn and well animated which brings the characters to life. VA is 10/10. Music good. If you don't know whether to buy this then watch the anime first and if you like the characters then buy this. 100% completion took me 70 hours.

Subverse

A porn game with dissapointing porn

Disclaimer: I backed this on KS and so I own it already on Steam. What is Subverse? It is a sci-fi porn game which combines a kinetic novel with an Asteroids-like SHMUP and a simplistic TB grid combat. Let's quickly talk about the PROS first: - the VA work is stellar and helps bring the characters to life - p good looking sex scenes; not the best I've seen, but still good - nice music The MEHS: - the SHMUP is probably the most developed out of the two combat sections, but it needs more variety in mission design; right now it's the same map with the same floating asteroids all over again; the enemy variety does help in alleviating the monotony somewhat - the TB combat needs a lot of work; currently the maps are very cramped (8X8 I believe); the unit ballance is out of whack, with range units ruling supreme and melee units (even tanks) going down in ~2 rounds And the CONS: - the writing is just awful overall; it constanly crams in every d!ck joke imaginable in an effort of trying to be funny but it just comes off as cringe, though I admit I did chuckle a few times; the pacing is also bad with long winded dialogue sections that seem to go nowhere - but the gravest sin that Subverse makes is that it disconnects the sex scenes from the rest of the game; you buy them from a separate screen and then string them together in a slideshow player; most are ~10 s long gifs, however a few are longer and also include a "happy end"; the problem is that none have any context whatsoever and so all of the possible eroticism is lost; the porn is the reason everyone bought this and yet it is BY FAR the biggest let down; they say the next update will address the issue so I guess we'll have to wait and see... This game is still currently in development so some things are still bound to change, however I fear that the overall design paradigm is unlikely to suffer significant alterations. I would not recommend paying 25 euro at this point in time. Wait for more updates to come out.
