Infested Planet turned out to a surprisingly good and addictive game, with a great replay value. Some people say it's boring and repetitive, or there's only a few useful upgrades. But this can only be true if you limit yourself to the campaign. Otherwise, if you continue playing random missions, and especially Terminus, you'll find out there are many more viable upgrade combinations and strategies.
This little gem of a game is something I and many like me would've dreamt about while reading sci-fi books or watching Star Trek. This is a game that allows you to actually manage a little toy spaceship, set up your weapons, crew etc, and develop your own tactics to win through numerous encounters and space adventures. I fell in love with this game once I've realized you can vent the air out of specific rooms to fight fires or enemy boarders. Wow.
Witcher 2 is not a bad game, it has its moments. Too bad all the good bits are overwhelmed by intense gore and sadism without any plausible explanation. Some may say it's a part of the Witcher universe, but for me it just illogical, cringe-worthy, and ruins the immersion. Some of these moments may leave a real and permanent scar on your soul. You've been warned.
I was keen to play this remastered version of the old-time classic. Wow, renewed graphics looks so cool on big screens while keeping the feel of the original! Unfortunately, I was disappointed, because along with all the goodies developers introduced issues that weren't there in the original version of the game. Most experience-breaking one is transition music abruptly stops in cut scenes. I just can't force myself to get over it. YMMV. Worst thing is Double Fine weren't able to fix the issue and they apparently aren't going to try again any time soon.
