pro- -story is relatively good, for a while (it gets pretty wonky after the halfway point) -characters are all unique with their own system and way to play. -graphics are great -puzzles are usually good but the ones at the end of the game are not, with less explanation or logic compared to the first half con- -the game is nearly 80 hours long. even half that number would be too much already -like previously said, story gets wonky and weird after the halfway point where character reactions start being very weird compared to what was established previously -the fighting system is a weird hybrid of strategy game and action. its tiresome and you quickly start dreading when a fight is coming up
The gameplay is similar to the Shadow Hearts franchise with the QTE circle yet has not quite the same level of refinement. And since you'll have to suffer it the entire long game that it is, its a tough one. Amount of enemy types is kinda limited but not too problematic. The weakest point of this game is truly the story. While on paper it should be a bland yet serviceable story, but the way everything is put together is not very well glued together. Most importantly, two of the main characters, Aria and Kael are absolutely insufferable. and they are the characters who talks the most. thankfully the other characters are more tolerable
