Waste of my time.
If you ever just wanted to have fun then this is the game for you. Many reviewers mistake this game for a RTS game. There are a number of maps with specific quests that you can play but at the heart of this game is a simulation game. Go to the free style option, select difficulty and build your little kingdom. Try different combos of creatures and just watch them go. There is a reward flag system if you want to play the scripted maps but it is pretty unnecessary in the free map. Certain heroes will automatically perform certain actions. Rangers will explore, Paladins will fight monsters, Krypta will convert undead and healers will heal. It's a fun game.
Seriously, this game sucks. Tedious combat, maddening camera, little magic and not even close to being the open world that Gothic 1 and 2 were.
Not a bad effort with lots of stuff to do to keep you busy. Just like Gothic 2 only you are weaker and everything else is stronger so it takes longer. I never make it past the first chapter in the Gothic series as I lose interest after the first 10 hours.
Yes, yes it is. This game is extremely chalengeing on the easy setting and should only be played by people with time to invest in a single game. Everything you do matters and how you make your party and train skills matters. You will die a lot. You will throw your mouse across the room. You will keep playing. It's a masterpiece.
