As the title says Mechajammer has a lot of depth and excellent atmosphere. (TL/DR at bottom) It also has a fair amount of bugs at the moment. They are not exactly game breaking but does impact some of the game play in strange ways. It does not ruin the enjoyment factor though. However, the developers are aware of the issues and have already patched some of them. More is on the way. They really love their games and don't let them fall by the way side. If you are familiar with their previous game and know what they are capable of, don't mind a few bugs and can live with them, love 80s cinema like Escape from New York, you will enjoy this game. If you want the game to be a perfect experience from the get go I might wait a bit for the main issues to be ironed out. No matter which camp you fall under Mechajammer is absolutely a gem of a game and worth grabbing now or wishlisting for those inevitable patches. As it stands right now I give it 3 stars but am putting 4 down for the game I know it will be. On to actual game play. The depth of interactive option is high depending on your builds. There are options to mostly avoid combat. Stealth and hacking are very viable with risk/ reward to various approaches. There are no key rebinds at the moment so if that is a must I would wait. It is planned for the next major patch. I don't have much more to add for the moment. TL/DR Excellent game with promise. Needs some bugs fixed. Definitely worth grabbing now but if your not into playing with small bugs wait. No button remapping but it is planned. Over all an enjoyable game in it state. :)
The DLC released before the game release were done so as supporter packs to help fund the development. I admit the portrait packs and the optional weapons are better off included in the base game but they made no false claims about the what these DLC were for. Since they were both fully usable in the early access version you get what you pay for and you could use them immediately. Now that the game is at full release this is even more applicable. 3 stars because they were supporter DLC. For those refusing to buy the game over this they will miss out. The game is very good. If you liked the original fallout games you will be right at home with Encased but also be experiencing something new. I am glad I backed this title and loved it from the get go. Well done on a successful release.
I bought it for Crystalis. One of the best NES games made. The emulation is very good. It has good controls and the SNK 30th edition also offers extra art, etc. Well worth it. :) Glad to see it on GOG.
