The original MoM was an instant classic when it came out in 1994 and rightfully so. However in the almost 30 (even typing that makes me feel ancient!) years since, other games have come and gone that have improved on the fantasy 4X formula. Meanwhile this game remains what it always was, just hex based and much prettier. If you really need that nostalgia fix with a modern look, this may scratch the itch, but quite frankly it doesn't do anything the Age of Wonders series (and probably a few others I can't think of) haven't done better in the years since. With AoW4 almost out, there's really no reason to play this unless you're an absolute die-hard fan of the original. If you absolutely have to grab it, at least wait until it's on sale.
Doesn't work, just kicks back to the opening splash screen. Bought on sale, but can you imagine paying $60 for this? I'd be furious.
