It's fun. I spent almost 3 hours with it and enjoyed it thoroughly. It's well priced when on sale and I would feel content with my purchase even if I never go back to it. That being said, I probably will play more of it. I'm still in chapter one and starting to unravel the story a bit. If you're not sure, try the demo, it's free!
An excellent game with a nice learning curve. Early levels are fun and fairly easy, later levels get quite complicated. An insta-buy for me!
This is not the type of game I'm usually interested in. I don't want to play what is essentially a card game on my PC, usually. But this game looked different. I love the sci-fi setting. This game gets compared to Darkest Dungeon, and I may well be similar, but I get tired of the "dark fantasy" setting in so many RPG games. I don't hate that setting, but I really love sci-fi! I'll grant, that the story is thin, but it is there. The best things about this game are the balancing of resources while exploring, managing your team, the RPG elements of leveling up and the loot management. The quests are pretty good too. I have so many back logged games, like 400 or something, and not a lot of time to play but I've enjoyed the hours I've put into this. I think I'm going to buy the expansion soon...
I like soundtracks. Game soundtracks, movie soundtracks, they both allow me to relive some of my favorite game and movie moments in my mind while I drive the 45 minutes it takes me to get to work. But to make it onto my playlist a soundtrack needs to have that special quality I like to call listenability. This one has it in spades! I got it on sale recently, but its well worth the full price.
Demo is great! Despite owing XCOM, I'm not that familiar with these tactical/strategy games but have heard good things. Thanks for putting out a demo here on gog. I think I have to buy this now! Really like the rpg style leveling of characters and equipment options. Story is engaging as well.
Says this right on the store page and is pretty normal. Windows version releases first, then later you get Mac and/or Linux. I expected this and will play on Windows until linux version is ready. Or just wait until linux version is released.
