if you are going to buy one of these carmageddon games then THIS is the one to buy! graphics are really good but you need the PC power to run it so be aware of this. my only complaint would be control of your vehicle, from the very first game in this series driving around in these cars feels like driving around on a sheet of ice, very easy to lose control and spin out/crash into a wall. a really fun game but it doesn't get 5 stars because the vehicle controls have not been improved, fix this and you have the perfect game! get it!!!! you'll like it!!!!

i fell in love with the original syndicate back in the day but i just can't get into this one. my main problem is how bad this game lags, not sure what the FPS actually is but it must be pretty low because this game runs choppy, like ALMOST unplayable at 15 or 20 FPS instead of a smooth 60? i tried messing around in the configuration but just can't get this game to run smooth.

found this very awkward and oh so not intuitive, tedious and difficult to sink my teeth into, i get it...it's not DOOM but i have played dungeon crawlers before and this one just isn't properly tuned or something? this review is more of a 1st impression review than anything else simply because i lost interest due to frustration. i don't have much free time to play games because i work a lot so a game has about half an hour to impress me, this game failed. but just because it's not my cup of tea doesn't mean it won't be yours? get it on sale though!

if you payed the 1st SS then you pretty much know what to expect, never ending cannon fodder (i mean enemies) coming at you from all sides, that's about it, the same thing every level, well... level bosses as well, i doubt any CHESS players will ever be playing this game, but i'am too dumb to play chess so i play this instead. only advise getting this on sale for maybe a buck or less.

i played this many years ago and had fun, but just understand this is one of those DOOMey type of games, runNgun...that's about it. it is NOT for everyone, most gamers will probably hate this type of game but if you are like me then you won't mind playing it once in a while, it's the same thing every level though so it gets OLD real FAST. i'am good for about half an hour to 45 minutes and i've had enough....time for a break. when i first played it back in the day i was impressed with how good it looked and how smooth it ran on the pretty crappy PC it was played on, but i don't think it aged very well. only get it if it goes on sale, maybe you can get it for a buck or less?
is it a bad game, no...not at all. it can be fun. the problem is it feels like it's trying to be GTA3, and i already been there and did that. it is also influenced by "max payne" and "desperado" and a few others. now that's not such a bad thing but what really puts me off is the overkill with CUT SCENES, OMG!!!! the developers really got carried away with cut scenes, they just keep interrupting gameplay, i don't mind cut scenes before the game starts and after you beat the game but for the love of all that is good please don't force them upon us during gameplay! the specs are really low end so it's great for an older crappy PC but i have all kinds of games i would much rather play. get it if it's on sale for like a dollar or less maybe.

so very happy to have my very own DRM FREE version that i actually OWN for PC, i have Skyrim for PS3 but once your save file gets to a certain size kiss your framerate goodbye and thus ends your game. i always thought it was stupid that my friends had to access this game through STEAM just to play it but that didn't stop me from going to their place to play it once they had it up and running(yes i was THAT friend)but there are some things noticed so far that trouble me a bit. the original Skyrim needed 2GB memory to run and 4GB was recommended but THIS VERSION of Skyrim has 8GB memory needed to run! holy crap! my only good PC i have(the 8GB memory PC)struggles to run this game with all the details cranked down to the lowest, it can run pretty much anything else i throw at it with no issue, but this game pushes it's limits, why can't we have good old 4GB Skyrim? also they seemed to have made small changes here and there, for example crouching and being undetected did NOT get me one-shot kill with low level enemies like the original using a bow and arrow? i'am sure there is a MOD to fix this but WHY change that? makes me wonder what else was changed? it's just too bad they couldn't have included OLD version 1 Skyrim, i just think it's silly to have to search nexus for mods that restore the game to what most of us are familiar with. but despite these small complaints i am very happy to finally own Skyrim for the PC, so a big thanks to GOG for that!

i thought this thing would have some type of offline/lan bots you could play with/against but if it does i can't find them? also can't get this to run in fullscreen for some reason? it was free so i gambled nothing by downloading it, i guess it's great for people who like to play against other human players but i don't so because of the no-bots thing it really isn't my cup of tea!

maybe i am not being fair because i have not put hours into this game and have only played the tutorial and it is possible this game might grow on me but my first impressions are not great, i consider myself an RTS guy and have played most of them so know my way around these type of games but i just find this game tedious and confusing, for example have to tell a resource gatherer how to do it's job is a bit annoying, also it doesn't feel intuitive to me? like it hasn't employed many of the standards of many RTS games that came before. if you want one of these type of games then get supreme commander or total annihilation instead. and please understand that i am not saying it's a bad game or anything but not easy to get into, so if you are very patient and have time to burn( i do not ) then by all means get this game!

if you like RTS games this game will satisfy your itch but be aware that when you play through the missions they can get a bit insane on the difficulty, i'am talking turning up the difficult setting to full retard, so just be aware that you probably won't be able to beat this game. the good news is you don't have to play through the missions, just do what i do with most RTS games and just play against the AI in skirmish mode.
