The new companion is nice and when equiped with equipament that you aquire in his quest, he gets really good in combat. His adventure is somewhat interesting . But I won't award this 5 star because nice is the best thing I can say about this DLC. It's worth it but not super exciting. Maybe buy it in a sale?
If you love D&D/Pathfinder and a good cRPG in the likes of Baldur's Gate, this game is for you. The game has some annoying bugs and it's very text-heavy (way more than Kingmaker), but honestly this is nothing comparing with how imersive, fun, and complete cRPG experience this game is.
The game is awesome. It is great to an adaptation for D&D into cRPGs. And this time they did so many things right. You have the cinematics of Dragon Age franchise, you have the engine of D:OS, with a faithful adaptation of the D&D ruleset. In its state the game have a few bugs, but it is pretty impressive for an early acess. Most disapointing is that some classes and some races are missing, I hope they add it soon.
This game is perfect. Don't listen to kids that never played a single tabletop RPG in their life, saying that the game is difficult, that the resting system is bad. The resting system is perfect, the game uses almost every Pathfinder rule. Yeah, the tabletop is difficult! Want stupid and easy gameplay, go play Diablo or whatever. I'm a backer and this game lives up to its promise.
