This is my Steam review Let me preface this by saying that I played this game in the story difficulty. To get it out of the way, I was worried before launch that the combat would be very difficult making it a more frustrating experience, I'm happy to say that they weren't lying when they said story mode would be a regular Silent Hill experience. The combat is different and at first might feel weird, but I got used to it pretty fast and enjoyed it quite a bit. Now, many things are different from previous entries in the series but I did feel I was playing a Silent Hill game and, a great one at that. The environment, the story, the characters, the music, are all excellent. The overall story is told in a very unsettling way and in fact there are a few scenes that are among the most messed up stuff I saw in any Silent Hill. In conclusion, I'm very glad that they did something different with f, it's a breath of fresh air. Silent Hill is finally back and I'm here for it.
