Distant Worlds 2

Great ideas+support <> premature release

DW2 was for me THE game I was eagerly waiting for from the time it was announced, because I had faith in the Devs and their idea for a very user-friendly and almost infinite customizable (and modifiable) huge and innovative 4X space-strategy game. - And I, at first, was not disappointed, and started to delve in its mere infinite possibilities - beginning from unmatched freedom in setting the games framework conditions, via very sophisticated mechanics regarding automation options, to all the possible ways of fiddling with easy to edit gamefiles that are written in xml- or even txt-format. - The game really offers all this possibilities. :) But not long after my euphoric start I realized that many other aspects have been put in second place: Beginning from its mostly horrible music, via a missing intro or anything that could enhance its atmosphere above handling a relaxing, but complicated science-formula, via simple text-tutorials and un-movable (or sizable) windows and messages, to some technical performance issues, bugs and gameplay-difficulties that required to try to learn things by trial and error principles, because those are not only missing in the tutorials, but also not explained in the otherwise ample manual or ingame-encyclopedia. And last but not least the modability is also severly limited, because important things (like editing art assets, races, ships, etc.) aren’t easy accessible, yet (at least not without the use of a very complex and comprehensive editor - Stride 3D). :/ Due to space restrictions to be continued… (here: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/continuation_of_review_on_shopsite_of_dw2)

Plane Mechanic Simulator

This certainly is SCUM (on GOG) !!

I bought both versions here on GOG and on Steam to confirm the difference / fraud of the selling of this game here on GOG (and refunded both of them) !! When you buy this game here on GOG you'll get the unfinished and unpolished version that was shamefully abandoned by the DEVs/Publishers Disaster Studio / Plug In Digital quite some time ago ! Although it seems right that the new DEV on Steam (Cobble Games), who continues the development, isn't responsible for what Disaster Studio / Plug In Digital have done (I hope), it doesn't help the GOG-community (or the people who have already bought this on GOG) to tell them that they now develop a much better game on Steam. Additionally it makes no sense to wait for an update here on GOG, imho. If you look at the (still) different DEVs and Publishers on Steam and here on GOG, you'll recognize that the new DEVs/Publishers have only bought a licence for Steam and NOT for GOG; - that's the only reason why the aren't updating it here, too. ;-)
