First of all: This is quite a good and entertaining DLC and I am glad that the developers keep this game alive and not only made Call of the Tenebrae but also plan to release one mode DLC for called Shattered Embrace. And they also have plans for Two Worlds III which I am already looking forward to. Now, for the "gory bits": For all the players who verbally abused and humiliated the developers on Steam and elsewhere: You should be ashamed of yourself! The in-game shop is nothing but a convenience store for players who are just too damn lazy to play the game and collect loot. To be very clear about this: You do not need to buy *anything* from the in-game store because any single item there can be found inside the game. So just ignore it, for Christ's sake! Also, the command console, though missing for just two days, is back in the game. So, now, fellow gamers: Please give the devs a break! Two Worlds II is a really nice game, and these guys are really doing fine. After all, they gave us really nice gaming experiences with Two Worlds and Two Worlds II, and, after all, they are doing it with passion and they are trying to make a living. So please show some decency, for the love of God!
German below. As I never played the other Ultima games, I was not biased in any way; I had no specific expectations. I am indeed more inclined to compare Ultima IX to King's Quest: Mask of Eternity from 1998. If you keep in mind that Ultima IX is a game from 1999, it holds up extremely well against e.g. MoE in every respect. I had (and still have) great fun playing this game. I do, however, understand that for passionate Ultima veterans Ultima IX was a disappointment. But as I already said: For me this simply did not matter. As for the infamous 'Spoony Review', I think this is rather meant to be comedy (at least this is the category he himself gave his Ultima IX review videos); if they were serious they would be the most pathetic reviews ever ('cry me a river!').
