F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin + Reborn

Nowhere near as good as the first game

Not a totally bad game but everything that made the first game so great is pretty much gone, the flair of the gun fights, the sound, the AI, the sound, the feeling of the guns etc all pale in comparison. Its just an above average run-of-the-mill shooter but its FAR better than FEAR3.

F.E.A.R. Platinum

Only game in the series you should play

This, to me, is one the last great first person shooters. I remember October 2005 like a clear night. I won a competition in a PC magazine and I got an AMD FX-57 with 2GB RAM and a motherboard, so all I had to do is upgrade my GPU and this was one of the first games I got with that new setup! The gun fights are crazy; partials would fly everywhere, spars, dust & glass. The AI is smart and they will flank you. The sound design and topnotch and if you still have an EAX sound card with the Creative Alchemy progamme your ears are in for a treat! The guns have some of the most satisfying cathartic sounds you will hear in a shooter, the screams of the enemies while you shotgun them halfway across a hall never gets old. The game is showing its age in terms of graphics but the lighting is still top notch and the image is just so "clean". The game also didnt give in to the whole "regenerating health" rubbish that shooters of the same era and later would use. Again this is the only game in the series you really need to play, the later two games seemed to be more aimed towards the "masses" and have this really bad "Call of Duty" feel to them and everything that made the first game so good was gone. The expansions are okay but the main game is outstanding. BUY IT!

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition

We need more games like this and W1

I have had this game for well over a year but the support that has been given is outstanding, free DLC, DRM removed and a free upgrade to the Enhanced Edition for people who had the regular edition! This game captures the essence of old school RPGs while modernising it at the same time. Its a mature game for adults that deals some very violent and sexual themes. The game doesn't treat you like a child and it has a fantastic D&D + medieval European feel (Regardless of the american voice actor for Geralt). This has got to be one of the best RPGs I have played in a long time and I'm looking forward to the Witcher 3 ;)

Divinity 2: Developer's Cut

An overlooked gem of an RPG

Anyone who loves RPGs with a sense of humor that doesn't take itself too seriously you must own this game! This game has been and will be overlooked to the likes of Skyrim and The Witcher 2 but I feel that this game can hang with the "big boys". Its a newer RPG with an old school feel and that is reason enough to buy this game!

Might and Magic® 6-pack Limited Edition

We need a new M&M RPG

I remember playing the M&M games as a child (Starting with M&M 5 and 6) and even to this day the games hold up! And for $10 ~ £6 you get 6 outstanding games! They dont make RPGs like they used to and one day I hope for a M&M 10!

Might and Magic® 7: For Blood and Honor®

Don't make them like they used to.

As much as I love the Elder Scrolls series, started on Daggerfall, I always felt that the Might & Magic games were better in almost every way! Its a fantastic series of RPG games that every fan should play especially M&M 6 and 7! The world is huge and the quest is very long so this game for $9.99 (About £6) is a bargain for such a masterpiece!
