Hollow Knight: Silksong

Overhyped but still excellent

Selling this game for $20 feels criminal but in an age where every game company wants to charge me an arm and a leg for the most boring software possible, this is a blessing. This is nothing you haven't seen before, but it does everything in the genre of metroidvania so well that it feels genuinely fresh. My only real complaint with the game is that the cartographer NPC named Shakra is almost always nowhere to be found. I read online that you could summon her to the first town of the game at any point by ringing a bell on the platform she appears on, but so far i've never seen this bell anywhere in my game so i'm not sure if this is misinformation or a feature exclusive to the pre-release Gamescom demos. Overall the game is really fun, though you should go in expecting a challenging experience.

it's alright

not perfect or anything but i'm having a good time with it. my biggest complaint besides the performance is enemy AI is very hit or miss. sometimes they will flank you like master tacticians and other times they will just stand around waiting for you to shoot them. also they snap onto you really quick even at night. fighting mutants is generally not enjoyable. god help you if you come across a bloodsucker on the hardest difficulty, they are a pain in the ass to deal with even on normal. overall i still enjoy exploring the zone, but don't bother buying unless you have good hardware

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft

Pretty good

Surprisingly fun despite its aging mechanics

Great game, poor modding support for GOG

This game is really good but if you happen to buy the GOG version without realizing there's better mod support on Steam, (i only realized nearly a year later that it had Workshop support, so I can't get a refund...) you may not get nearly as much mileage out of it. At the very least, you can get a lot of enjoyment out of the vanilla game so i'd say it's still worth a purchase if you just want to play the game as intended. It just sucks that poor mod support is the caveat necessary for you to have a DRM free version of this game.

A very good game...

...when it works. I'm only five hours in, but, at the moment, the game is bogged down with bizarre, progression-halting bugs that make the overall experience kind of frustrating. As for the gameplay itself, it's pretty fun. I just have to wonder why there are only 4 weapon types. Makes me think replaying the game will be more of a slog than a boon afforded by its genre. It's no Hades, but when it's bug free it's servicable. Wait for the game to get patched before buying.

Cyberpunk 2077

Not worth the price

this game actually sucks everything they promised they did not deliver on the rpg elements are barely there, it feels like i am playing a deus ex spinoff game that has nowhere near the same amount of complexities or polish. do not bother. i highly doubt it will ever be finished. "fixing" the game isn't enough for me to recommend it. at the end of the day, a lot of the features they promised are not even implemented, and it is very unlikely they will implement them in the near future. the one saving grace this game has is excellent writing, but that's not worth the sixty dollar price tag imo. stay far away for now my man.
