I do have respect for the game. it a vision that was fully fleshed out, they decided to make it look horrible and they made some story choices that I have not seen other games. Is it good no but it's interesting. This is the most mediocre person shooter gameplay, I have played. there is no enjoyment in it at all. It's a step back Kane and Lynch 1. no Variety to it. what you do at the Beginning, is what you will do to the end . There is maybe two turret segments, but nothing else. Never has a game try to look this awful on purpose and oh my God it works. It looks like the worst digital camera from 2010 has been used to create this video game. had to turn on steadycam to not get headache. It has really good audio designs you can hear the echoes. you can hear the camera barely picking up some sounds because they are so loud. the bitrate being so low audios sounds weird. It's just really well designed. If you want to torture your friend, so you can play this co-op mode. is the game fun, no. Only play if your masochist like me.
Kane and Lynch is such a weird game, It's not fun, but it's so interesting that I had to finish it. Gameplay wise it is a sequel to freedom fighter. the squad mechanics are there but it legs dept. The guns sound powerful and they hurts powerful but the animation when you hit the enemy feels weak. The game does have very nice destruction mechanics so it feels satisfying when you leave a combat area. The game sound good. it has powerful effects that makes it so I don't want to listen to anything in the background and the constant dialogue, keeps thing interesting and the music is good. The UI is so clean, it doesn't want to obscure the image, so much of the game the only UI, is a single dot on the screen. The characters and story is so weird to me. It feels like a really unlikable crime movie,which I can get behind. It's remind me of the Danish gangster film Pusher, where the main character is just desperately clinging for straws to keep him above water and he has to betray every person, and all the trust he has built. the voice acting is so good it really hits that crime film vibe. Especially kane's voice actor, I love him and I l his also performances as BJ blazkowicz. I did find the game entertaining but there is a drastic drop, when you stop being in cities and begin being in South America. it is insane how tedias and bad it becomes kane and lynch is so ambitious, but it feels like there has been much cut off it. it's just not fun to play The Story is interesting but it also dies half way through and becomes horrible and the ending is complete garbage. But it is an interesting little title and would absolutely recommend if you are into interesting bad game.
What an amazing game, I played it for 50 hours. I have completed it two times. It's an amazing janky mess, that I would recommend. It's such an ambitious game you can feel how developers want to show their culture and history though the game and they put so much passion in it. So even through you feel the technical stuff is barely holding on, it's still worth it. The game wants you to role play it wants you to think about your actions and why you want to do it, So there is a limited safe system To make actions more risky, for my part the last safe was 20 minutes away and I was about to attack bandit camp. I was very nervous but the victory filled way more amazing because of the real risk of time. The combat is fun. I really think that dueling in this game is really interesting ,hard but fun to master.the moment group fights get involved it becomes a total clown Show, It is realistic yes. It is how it feels to be gang up yes, is it fun no, but it forces you to think about stealth and playing at night and how you can use everything to your advantage. The cast is wonderful, full of men that are greedy but still has the human touch it really fills like some of the lads, you could good old manat the bar. The main story is good, but what really props it forward, is amazing performances by every deep voiced man you can find. The sidequest are gold, there are so many ridiculous and different people that you help, every layer of society you're gonna get a sidequest from. They are also negatives some quest. I could not complete because of the NPC just stop having a dialogue button. And lots of other little things but the game is just so ambition and when it works it is amazing. I basically could do nothing but play this game when I got it and even when I replayed it, I still felt like the first time because there's so much in it would really recommend it.
I love this game even if I feel like it hates me sometimes, but it's mostly just a combat environment they just not fun, but everything around it parcurrin on the building the beautiful atmospheric soundtrack and the clean White City with beautiful slashes of colors is so stunning and beautiful that I have in high regard even if it has some really low points. The story is a half completed mess. I have the feeling that the levels were completed and then they try to make a story around it. It's just that kind of feeling that the characters doesn't feel fully fledged out and many of them. Just go and happen. What the fun I have on the City tops jumping and wall running and doing all the tricks to get as fast through City as possible. I cannot tell you how fun it is. It's some of the highest moments in gaming for me the feeling of flow I get. Navigation puzzles are also a good fun of the game fronding and seeing how you can just slash off some few seconds and many of The Times where you're just wondering. How do I get up there. What the enemies are just not fun they slow down the pacing in most levels and the worst part is that sometimes they put a pipe that I can only get on if I defeat the enemies first and that's awful, and shooting feels really flat. This games feels so awesome and unique and art design takes the show.
