If you've had pretty light gaming experiences lately and want to dive into darkness and feel some new feelings, this game is for you. A touch of misery, depression and anxiety will do you good, if only to remind you that apart from the ever-present shallow, sparkly games there are some that will test your heart more than your brain. The Cat Lady does this with it's compelling story, gritty art style and moody music... It's a game that you can savor, it invites you to have a hot cup of coffee or tea while you spend time with it and reflect on your own reactions to what it shows you. Hat off to Harvester Games, this game touched me and left me more empathetic than i was before i played it!
This is the first game i tell any budget gamer with 10$ in his pocket to get... it's simply the best value for money that a game can offer! Exciting turn-based experiences, lush world, beautiful music, incredible amounts of content, it's got it all!
Does the original justice! Tons of guns, tons of enemies, fast-paced soundtrack - more than enough to stand out from the crowd of clunky cover-based shooters that are so common nowadays. Most levels have the flow of a very classic shooter where getting through and getting out while mowing down the resistance is the point, yet the boss levels fall short. Too much exposure, too few elements for evading and taking them down in more ways than one. Difficulty will keep you in the sweet spot between boredom and frustration, with very few exceptions; and it seems that the most common grievance (too few autosaves) has been solved in the update with the addition of the Quicksave feature. Graphics are on par with any Unreal Engine 3 release, music is rocking with updated versions of the original tunes and plenty of easter eggs and secrets to be found! If you want a game where you twitch first and ask questions later, this one's for you!
