Townscaper

"More of a toy than a game"

This quote perfectly describes Townscaper. It is a fun little toy though. It is fascinating how blocks are placed with generated details like benches or plants and the end result is always pleasing. If you don't mind playing without set objectives this game is one of the best purchases you can make.

Down in Bermuda

Not worth 17 bucks though

It's a really pleasant puzzle game that has you click around some islands to find hidden stuff and solve puzzles. It's quite short though and just based on that I'd say you should wait for a discount of any sort. Another problem the game has are the controls on PC. You can get used to them but overall they are sub par. Personally I had to use a mix of keyboard, for rotation, and mouse for movement, and mostly ignoring zoom in and out as it took way to much scrolling. The game is good though, enjoyable.

Disney Classic Games Collection

Warn't these cheeper standalone?

Games are OK, at least the versions of Alladin and Jungle book I played as a child ware. This price though is INSANE! Disney games here never dip below 50% on sale and even that would be too much to ask when you can buy one of those mini SNES things from Nintendo for about $60 and it contains way more games.

Pillars of Eternity: Hero Edition

It's a good game!

I just don't like it enough to learn all the numbers and stats and traits and spells. And unless you learn the ins and outs of the game you will be stuck playing on normal and still having hard time in at least some fights. Which is kinda good, but it doesn't feel satisfying like it would if I had put a lot of effort to learn it all. Main quest is interesting and a bit fresh compared to other fantasy titles, at least based on my experience. Side quests are also good, although, sometimes it feels like an obvious choice is missing from the possible outcomes. Visually it's very pleasing. Finally I'd like to add: This game has more reading then I expected, and I did expect there to be a lot of reading.

Feudal Alloy

Something is not quite right

The game isn't bad, but something is missing for it to be actually good. It's just not fun to play unfortunately. I played it a bit and I can say the art style is obviously excellent. The setting is intriguing. The level of polish is satisfactory. Only had a couple of bugs that ware insignificant. I have two main complaints though: 1. The game is a bit confusing. Sometimes you will pick something up and a text will appear but you will be fighting at the same time so you will miss it and have no idea what the game was trying to tell you. Other times you will just get lost in the world that has sub par map, obviously on purpose but I question that design decision. I definitely wasn't invested enough in the game to remember a path I took. And another thing that is confusing is the inventory where you can't clearly see what stats you gain by changing items. 2. Save points make the game tedious. They are few and far between and, unlike other games that have similar save points like Dark Soul, you can't easily run between them. Some enemies are specifically designed to slow you down, or hit you if you try to ignore. A missed opportunity really. I hope the devs learn their lessons and release a better game in the future.

Mortal Shell

Depends on your taste

It's a souls like in a new shell. I don't know if it's as replayable as Dark Souls or Sekiro, but it presents interesting new world, story, mechanics, and art. I'd strongly recommend it for anyone wondering if they will enjoy it. Had I known it would eventually come to GOG I would have waited and buy it here. I probably buy it a second time once it goes on sale.

Donut County

5/5 for what it is…

And it is a small satisfying game with funny concept, some nice music and pleasant aesthetics.

OpenTTD

Would be happy to pay for it

I remember playing the original game, Transport Tycoon, on a windows 95 machine my friend had. OpenTTD is an amazing recreation of the game and the devs deserve support. As for the game, I'd like to say it's timeless but it isn't. The gameplay itself appears to be well balanced and fun, at least to me it does. I found most fun in creating giant complex railway networks across the entire map, making sure there are no deadlocks. Graphics on the other hand have aged a bit. Luckily if I remember correctly there are HD graphic packs that are fairly easy to install if you feel like the pixels aren't enough.
