I don't rate games here too much but it's my duty to do it with Quake 4. It's one of my favourite games in all my life, and I'm sure it will be forever. The current rating (3.9 at the moment of writing this) is an offense for me. This game has to be rated 4.5 at least! The weapons, the physics, the game mechanics, the monsters, the history, the speed, and... The STROGGIFICATION PROCESS. ARE AWESOMMEEE!!! If you love first person shooters like Doom you HAVE to play this game if you haven't. Trust me, not doing it is a mortal sin!
I play with keyboard and mouse and with Xbox One Controller. Both are excellent in this game. I can't believe how well it is optimized for basic controllers. What a game! You must buy NOW!
Thanks GOG for giving us away this game and bring our nostalgia back. I had been looking for this game for many years, as I was too little when I first played it I couldn't recall its name. Now I can remember beautiful moments of my childhood. This is the typical 2D spaceships shooter game, it has everything you would like to try in a game: Different scenarios, difficult bosses, tough enemy ships, upgradable weapons and spaceships, and lots of fun! I fully recommend this game!
I've played this game until a 50% and it's the best science fiction game I've ever played. If you like survival Horror, and you like science fiction, you MUST play this game. It's a MUST for everybody who loves Sci-Fi games. The story is the best so far, along the game you are discovering everything about the principal character and you keep discovering why you are in such a remote place, in such a remote year. ASTOUNDING! IT TRAPS YOU IN THE FIRST TRY!
