From a production value point of view, this game is as close to an AAA game to be better than many of them, but that's not its strong point. I'm not much in walking simulators or heavily scripted games, but damn if this game is a complete exception! If you are looking for an action game, look elsewhere, same if you are looking for an RPG or an adventure game with proper puzzles. If you are looking for something unique, developed by a small studio, a game with mental illness at the core... welcome to the world of Senua.
Simply put, for me the best turn-based game of the past few years. Is it perfect? Of course not, there are some issues, I wouldn't include the missing modding compatibillity as such thou, but well yes no modding for this game. The game has great graphics, mechanics, soundtrack and gameplay, in some way reminds me more of Jagged Alliance than X-com. For all the 200ish hours I spent on it it felt to me like playing a pc version of The Black Company.
I didn't even know Kenshi was on GOG, I bought it on Desura, back in 2012, then got a Steam Key for its early access. The game is an amazing sandbox, squad management RPG, with no story, set in an alien world (is not Earth) with a setting that I'd define a post-apolcaliptic samurai society. Even in its very earl version, when all there was a huge desert with some settlements and random bandits it was a pleasure to play, but over the past few years it has changed a lot, in the good direction. The game has an amazing style, very good music (thou I wish there was more) and good mechanics, you can do pretty much whatever you prefer, being a farmer, a thief, an adventurer, a miner, a legendary swordsman... or you can do all of it, with your squads (as you can have more than one). Only issue? Well it has been in development for the past 6 years, apparently it's getting close to release, but you never know.
Diluvion could have been indeed much more, but it's a good game even as it is. The setting, the music and the concept of the game are its strong points, if you like steampunkish unusual settings you'll like it. The controls, as many have said, are a bit weird, not broken, but you'll get used to them pretty easily. If I have to point out Diluvion's biggest fault is that... with a universe like the one they created, there's so little lore in-game, NPCs have very little to say, no book/other source in-game to learn more of the setting. Not every game can (and should) be as lore heavy as Sunless Sea (to cite a game that shares some elements with Diluvion), but there are different steps, and in this respect, at least as far as I've played, Diluvion is lacking a bit, I want to know more about this world!
Well I certanly didn't expect Tyranny to be as good at it is, I was waiting for it, but not raving. I'd dare to say it's even better than Pillars, yes it's shorter and with less "options", but what it gives is nicely done, polished and presented. Don't buy it expecting to have the next Planescape: Torment, as it's not, I see Tyranny as a nice mix of Pillars and Dragon Age: Origins, no real reason but it just struck those cords to me. It's a highly suggested game if you like the genere.
