Yesterday Origins

Bad in everyway

This is a sad follow up to the first. Poor interface no identification icons so lots of random pressing, terrible puzzles with lots of random combos when more obvious answers available. Shame.

Subject 13

Full of random senseless puzzles

This game is simply a collection of the most stupid random puzzles. Everything is just hit and miss. Add one random thing to another random thing to solve puzzle. Tedious and pointless with very little actual thought involved.

Deliver Us The Moon

Flawed masterpiece

This game has all the basics to make a 5 star game. Graphics superb, story superb but the controls kill it. Inability to rebind is bad enough but even without that its a nightmare. the grab/pickup function is too hit and miss. open a locker to get oxygen, try to pick it up and you close the locker instead. add to that your character has to be perfectly aligned or it shows nothing. such a shame.

Dark Fall: The Journal

Not aged well

Graphics are basic as you would aspect. Controls are somewhat hit and miss as you spend a lot of time looking for the correct hotspot. Story is slow and uninteresting. Relies too heavily on sound effects which tell you very little.

Broken Pieces

Okay but that's it.

Best thing about this is the music and the board puzzles other than that becomes tedious very quickly. The story while okay at the start just seems a chore by the end and there's nothing that drives you to keep trying.

Someday You'll Return

Boring and buggy

After reading the reviews I begun thinking I was playing a different game. The story is boring and the so called horror virtually non-existence. Add to that weird bugs that show you dying but does not end the game as you can still do actions but not move.

The Forgotten City

Well worth trying

This game possesses one of the best story I have seen. Gameplay interesting and the graphics very good. One of the better games I've played on GOG.

Syberia 3: The Complete Journey

Flawed follow up to a superb series

After enjoying the first two games this really stinks. The viewing angles are terrible. You have no idea where your going and just keep bumping into walls. The puzzles are childishly simple especially when compared to the first. Definitely avoid this one.

J.U.L.I.A. Among the Stars

Good and Bad

Nice enough story with some interesting puzzles especially the circuit building mixed in with a lot of dreary trail and error ones. Good enough for the price.

Colony Ship: A Post-Earth Role Playing Game

Adequate but uninspiring

Unfortunately I found this game to be very generic and nothing about it raises it above the competition. Being a massive fan of Age of Decadence was hoping for something similar. That game had a sense of mystery and a joy of discovery this one unfortunately does not. The combat system while okay seems to lack any tactical level. Generally just shoot and bash. Whereas the first title was a solo event and provided something for every type of character this one is party based and just relies on your party having every skill. The worse aspect is the lack of any overriding aim. It simply seems to be get better weapons and improve your skills for no real reason. Pretty much a clone of encased which had the same failings.
