Disclaimer: As usual with survival horror games, I played the game on the hard difficulty setting from the start. So I can only comment on that. The combat system takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's challenging in its own way and good enough. I particularly liked the tension caused by the limited number of save points, as 20-40 minutes of playtime were often at stake. At certain points, you couldn't afford to make mistakes and had to proceed with caution. Sometimes you consider taking a gamble and not saving immediately after finding a vinyl record, but cleaning a few more rooms instead. It doesn't always work out well... But that's also part of the appeal. The map is helpful and absolutely sufficient. Lots of items, doors, and keys. Good balance of resources such as ammunition and medkits. Conclusion: A really good survival horror game once you've figured out the combat system.
