feels like an interactive movie with exciting story, great graphics, and amazing voice acting (especially Page and Dafoe); don't expect an open world experience: there are guardrails that will lead you to where you are meant to head (in part implemented with the camera resisting looking in the wrong direction), but there are a lot of choices and possible endings also. The only issue I encountered were the controls: I usually prefer mouse and keyboard, but not on this title since the controls are OK with a controller but are horrible with a mouse. Luckily this PC version also supports controllers.
didn't think I'd enjoy another game as much as witcher 3, but this one is definitely another masterpiece: incredible story, gameplay, voice acting, graphics, beautiful landscapes, awesome robo-animals to fight ... there was one particularly memorable region where I encountered robots that reminded me of the old movie "tremors": huge robots (instead of worms) that dig through the sand and attack you from below :-) As for gameplay, it reminds me a bit of a cross between witcher 3 and the new tomb raider reboot, but set in the distant future where people live more primitive lives after our civilization was destroyed and have to fight dinosaur-like robots (you'll have to play through the main quest to find out where those came from ;-) ).
great graphics, great story and game play, can't think of anything to criticize. Others have criticized the combat mechanics and bugs: I did not encounter any bugs (played through the main quest and a number, though not all, side quests) and I had no issue with the combat mechanics (though I do like to play games on "easy" settings). Another point some have criticized was that in order to get a certain ending, (which some consider to be the "good" ending) you had to refrain from killing citizens and thus limit some XP and skills: I think this mechanic is great and makes absolute sense: The player can choose to be humane and "good" as a vampire or become cruel and all-powerful (and anything in between); I don't think any one ending is better or worse, they all make sense and are consequences of your actions as a player, which I find very rewarding.
funny as always, nice new graphics, and runs smooth and stable (I played the linux version). If I had to rank the monkey island games, I would say this one is my 4th favorite (after monkey island 3, 1, and 2). My only (minor) criticism is the somewhat weird ending (which I won't elaborate on here so as not to spoil anything). FYI: the posted system requirements are somewhat exaggerated, the game worked fine on an intel celeron N4000 cpu with integrated graphics and only 4 GB of RAM.
very entertaining story-driven game, giving the player choices between fighting, stealth, and hacking most of the time. At every point in the game you have multiple ways of achieving your goal. As for issues reported by others: I played this on linux with wine and dxvk @ 1440p: had no issues (and no freezes)
great game and great release: Other companies charge a lot for enhanced editions, not Bethesda: The enhanced edition is included for free! Also, the enhanced edition is very well made: gives you the look and feel of the original, but runs well on modern operating systems (I'm running on linux with wine and dxvk) and has much better keyboard and mouse controls than the original.
