This is a great game. Only issue is it wont run or it'll crash a lot on windows 10. I recommend using windows 7 with it, i have zero problems, and it got rid of the grey screen on start up. On a side note, i really think this game should go on sale, im not sure it has in a long time though, but i still feel it is definitely good game, but it should be $10 on sale occasionally.
was really hoping this game would run good and give volition a second chance. Sadly this game just is below 30 fps in cutscenes and looks straight up awful. The lip syncing is terrible and characters look really washed out. The fps ingame itself is very inconsistent, usually caping itself at 50 - 60 fps. Nvidia cards have a fix and for AMD it sometimes works to unlock the fps but it usually go right back to 50 or something. The game itself actually looks decent while playing it however, i will admit that, but in no other way is this a remaster, its a downgrade. You are honestly better off playing the original.
If you felt like Durlags Tower and the last mission really brought down baldur gate 1, then this is a good refreshment. Even with like 1 or 2 characters i didnt really struggle on core rules and overall had a pretty decent time. Definitely worth it for $5-$10.
Ive been playing this on my 6900xt/5800x combo and its actually pretty decent. Only fix i did was install the directx vulkan dll files and it runs smoothly. Only issue i have is occasionally the mouse slows down in game and input can feel weird but pausing and then unpausing repeatedly fixes it. Only graphical glitch as well is swimming pools are either red or yellow colored but thats if you are really far away from it and theres so little swimming pools you will rarely see this except near the airport. 10/10 game. On a side note you can install gentlemen of the row if you want but this made zero stability changes FOR ME in MY GAME but you might have other experiences, i prefer the game vanilla as possible and with as few tweaks as i can do and the vulkan patch is the easiest one thus far.
